Welcome to The Wanderlust Drive. Ready for a new travel vlog to explore a new route to go from Pune to Goa? This is an exciting ghat I found on the way back from Goa completely by chance. When planning my trip back from Club Mahindra Assonora, I looked up the route on Google Maps and found this route right between the traditional Amboli Ghat route and the Chorla Ghat route via Belgaum. Apparently not many people know this one and I was about to find out why.

how did you show the speedometer and ghat route on the video? please.
I’ve recorded this video with a GoPro with the GPS on so it captures this telemetry data. Using the Quik app on an iPhone, I can add these layers to the video like the speedometer and the map data.

This ghat is super risky and there is board which says if involved in accident you are not eligible to claim insurance
😁 it has narrow roads for sure but the insurance part is not valid for sure, for example we have the Kolli Hills with it’s 70 narrow hairpin bends which is 100% more risky, not to mention… several other roads including all the high passes of Ladakh! So don’t worry, just go ahead and experience it! 😉

Yes,it is highly risky. Only yesterday we got stuck in this ghat. Behind us S.T. Bus. Car in first gear ( brand new car ) would not pull up. Had to use hand to push accelator. Night time .
