I recently came from Pune to goa, my tata punch gave average of 20.37 kmpl with ac on. Route was Pune - belgaum - khanapur - anmod- mollem- Ponda. I drove car in city mode all the way and both mid and actual mileage was same.
AC was on for sometime. Then I switched it off to see the performance. With Ac on there will be a little lag at the beginning but once it starts rolling u hardly feel any difference. With AC off its a beast.
Amboli is the better route if u just want to reach with less hassles. But bcz from hyd there will be quite alot of 4 lanes there will be tolls. If u r looking for little more adventure u can take the route through Tilari nagar. This route will have less tolls. Both the routes will take nearly equal time. So end of the day the choice is yours.

i have tried all the routes but trust me Amboli Ghat is the best amongst these from Pune. It really saves time and kms

Dear how much fuel expense incurred on this road trip?
Around 24 litres of fuel from Goa to Pune. I was left with 2 bars at the end of trip in fuel meter.
