Makarov helped Price because he knew Shepard was a colossal threat to BOTH of them, Task Force 141 knows that Shepard sent Allen to do the No Russian mission knowing Allen was gonna get exposed and Shepard had sensitive intel on Makarov that he didn't want getting exposed.
It's not the same voice actor. Shepherd's presence in MW1 was a retroactive change done by MW3. I'm not sure if they hired Lance Henriksen to do the voice of Command in the remaster though.

Why I like the OG version of the Modern Warfare series is because it makes more sense, I wouldn't Blame Shepherd for being this vengeful against Makarov for killing his 30,000 Marines by nuke, he could've been a great ally, But the fact that he killed Roach and Ghost in order to bury the truth about the Zakhaev International Airport massacre and Intentionally Started WW3 Just makes him driven with Greed and Vengance, makes him more like Makarov. Also, I would think why Makarov helped price is because they wanted a score to settle with Shepherd, and to kill him for what he did, and honestly, I would just Capture him and take him to prison, but him killing Ghost and Roach to bury the truth and Caused WW3 and putting them on the most wanted list is valid reason for why they have to kill him, Shepherd, the Hero who Became the Villains FOR A REASON.
I’m sure you didn’t notice but during the briefing after Roach gets killed, Soap and Price are put in most wanted lists, presumably by Shepherd. Even if they capture and bring him back, they will just end up arrested and executed.
I make my own version of modern warfare series. But this is a continuation from the original and maybe Price has relatives who live to make it to Captain and then have a co Captain of the new task force in keeping the peace. But then there’s a fallout between the two captains and that creates a civil war within the task force.

Reality: Pvt Allen is compromised (somehow, though not revealed how). In so doing, whatever group he's part of can be blamed as the cause of WW3. If Shepherd wants Makarov taken down, this whole No Russian thing was gonna be a problem, he'd have to distance himself from it 😊
So here's the timeline of OG COD. COD4 -> Operation Kingfish (COD Film) -> COD MW2 -> COD MW3. Damn, that's long story right there. Just sad, because the timeline in new COD MW is different from OG COD. So we can't hear/see Cpt. Price got prison after operation Kingfish instead is makarov that got prison after terrorize verdansk, and also we can't see all Delta team "Metal" Member. Also note, we can't see Cpt. Price dying like in OG COD4 in ending mission after zakaev kill gaz, griggs, and rest team and after that soap kill zakaev. And then kamarov come to rescue and when soap got lift up to heli, we can see 1 russian soldier try to C.P.R Cpt. Price. So i guess before operation Kingfish, all member of TF141 is rest/recover in some medical facilities. After that Shepherd brief them (TF141&DELTA) to going mission operation Kingfish.
My fav mission the enemy of my enemy really is my favorite. It’s fun to be in the middle of combat between two different factions. All while hearing two legendary characters both hate each other exchange dialogue in order to wipe out a threat that poses a big problem to them both.
Makarov pretty much knew that Shepherd had much more power and capacity to stop him than Price would. Price was a renegade and barely had any support, everyone saw him as a traitor. By giving Price the intel on Shepherd, he pretty much allowed him to take out the biggest threat to him. It's made even more evident how good of a play this was when you consider how much effort it took Price and Yuri to take out Makarov in MW3, something Shepherd could have done pretty easily.
I think it’s pretty simple logic to have two enemies fight one and other rather than you fight both that way you can fight the one left standing like he did in the OG mw3 cause the first mission after the last game in mw2 where you play as yuri Makarov was immediately after Price, Soap, and Kamarov

@@platinummew3887 No he's not, he's human and susceptible to rage like everyone else. That's what sets villains like him and Menendez apart from others. Their lives have been altered, completely changing the way they think and what they're willing to do.
I think he's a tragic hero. His 1 mistake was killing ghost/roach. He wouldve been a good guy otherwise
