We haven’t ever had to feed any yet, but if we did we would likely do 8-10 lbs per head every other day just to supplement the microbes in the rumen. Could use organic Alfalfa pellets and feed in portable troughs, or feed hay scattered right under the poly wire prior to the first move of the day to keep the cows from walking in it or fouling it. Then once they have eaten it all roll the wire up and start grazing.
They sure look like some of them are putting on their winter coats!!!
