As Bong said in this video, aside from the pure volume of vehicles on EDSA, there's a real halo-halo or mix of reasons for the traffic.

Actually that is already arrogance on his part. Hindi sya ang may ari ng EDSA. Pagmamayari ito ng Pilipinas. Binayaran ito ng mga taong nagbabayad ng buwis. I agree with him most of the time, pero minsan nagiging arrogante na sya na di naman kelangan.

@@Ironheart73 Hindi naman literal yung ibig sabihin nung sinabi niya eh. Ang ibig sabihin nun is may authority siya sa EDSA as long as he's in the position to do so.
I highly appreciate the intelligence of this head of traffic enforcer. There should be more like him to explain to the most ignorant and arrogant drivers who disregard our cities and towns traffic laws and to teach civility to some of our Filipino drivers.

Dpt lahat ng driver sa Pinas magttpos muna ng driving school bago mkkuha ng road sign exam. then road test..then after 2 years tsaka palang pwede mging full license..and if they want to work as delivery driver or uber driver they need another kind of exam.

Separate ticket for jumpers, maybe 3000. Honestly, if the ticket doesn't hurt enough, there will be no change. Raise cost of ilegal park cars. If you can afford the car you can afford the ticket.

how can anybody drive motorcycles on flipflops? it hurts just to put the bike on center stand you can even sprain your foot not to mention you can loose a toe or 2 even loosing a pinky toe finger nail from the street gutter hurts like a mother.

Grabe, sobrang pangit ng EDSA nung mga nakaraang taon, sali-salimuot ang mga bus sa daan, pahirap sa mga commuter.
Much more strict penalties should be implemented so that those violators na makukulit at hindi makaintindi eh hindi na magpaulit ulit na magpasaway. Honestly as a driver I really don't mind if they make those penalties make it x5 or even x10 like if you wear slipper's instead of 500 make it 3000, not wearing helmets make it 5000 plus seminars, for cars using bus lanes make it 10000 and atleast suspension of lisence for a certain time, not having a license while driving should be apprehended for only 3 times, not even consecutive, pagtatlong beses na nahuli ng walang lisensya lifetime ban na for taking license. I know its not humane but we need more fangs and iron rules to make this stupid riders and drivers to learn.

Need to hit the bus company, not just the driver. When a driver gets removed for breaking the law too often the bus company will just get another driver.

The main problem is the pinoy's mentality, lack of discipline and respect for others. This country will continue to degrade if these traits are not corrected.
Col. Bong Nebrija sir, I agree with you Most of the time. But on 12:10 I thought you went a little overboard and lost your objectivity.
First of all, the person clearly is not verbally defending himself anymore. He has lost the debate. He has nothing left to answer you with. You should be humble enough to recognize that. He is not anymore contesting that he is wrong. Therefore there is no need for you to keep humbling him if he is already waving the white flag. Besides, as you said he really has no excuses so what is the point of asking him all these questions.
I am not saying you are not right sir, only that I find it absurd that you want to keep debating with a person who clearly lost already. That is just ego-tripping on your part. Its also really absurd to ask him questions like "Ano ba dapat namin gawin para magtanda o sumunod kayo sa batas!" (What should we be doing to make sure you will always follow the law!). He clearly lacks any education to be able to answer this question. You of all people should understand that the problem of traffic is more complex than you think. Corruption in your own agency contributes to this. But to be fair your efforts to apprehend violators in your own ranks is commendable. My point is, you are in a better position to answer that question more than he is.
I think you could have just implemented the punishment that the law prescribed for his violation. Give him a ticket, tow his vehicle, confiscate his license, or jail him if you really have to. There is no need to keep debating on the issue.
Also sir, yes I do fully agree with you that being a newbie driver does not excuse you. Which is why by all means he should hand these people their ticket. But be open minded also. Every beginner is going to make a few mistakes. There is no need to treat them like hardened criminals.
