Apology guys. I was wrong about the Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto in the video. This 12.3 inch screen only supports wired Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.
So the entry level Sportage supports wireless airplay and the top of the line GT doesn't ?? that doesn't make sense.

@@yianniphotography7083 the entry level doesn't have Sat nav though... I was told by the dealer that you can't have sat nav with the wireless android auto because it creates issues apparently
@@liamjones4053 Yet different manufacturers can have both. I can't understand it.
@@mustangdude11 apparently the 2024 models come with wireless Apple car play and Android Auto so we all missed out I guess

You forgot to mention the most important part! This is the only video on UA-cam which actually showing the mid Display option in Sportage.
4.2 Cluster and 12.3 entertainment combined. Everyone else showing top option with 12.3 cluster and 12.3 entertainment or basic 4.2 and 8 option(which look absolutely bad). You need to mention this in video name!!!
How do you get the numbered light bulbs for your radio? I love it that way. Looks awesome.
How do you change the speedo to show old needle style rather than just the speed and how do you turn off tue keyless entry plz

Thank you for this video. I have a Kia Sportage 2022, and I was able to change the language from Korean to English. I attempted to download the update from the official website using flash memory but I received a notice that it was not supported. whereas the map and the navigation still display a map of Korea. Is there a way to change the map to show the city where I live?
Thank you this was really helpful as I have a new Kia Niro ev so very similar system. Have you found the screen and ambience sounds ie woodland, fire, rain, waves etc? I found it once, but no idea how I got there

Hi Ken, I haven't experienced that in the Kia althrough the new one did warn about school zone. It might be a different feature in different countries.
Can anyone tell me how to get a little map near the steering wheel and the split screen map in the large display area. I’ve done it once by accident but not idea how to get it back. It was so handy just to move your eyes to this screen rather than glance sideways to look at the big screen
You know, What is really awesome? You in the hybrid or the plug-in hybrid. You may forget you are in drive or reverse. If you open the door to get something you forgot. As you open the door. The vehicle will automatically go in the park position. Nice safety feature 👌 .
Not really when your backing up in tight spaces and want to nudge it back with door open it wont move, it also beeps at you constantly while in reverse even when nothing behind you it also beeps at you when you open the door to get out with the key it beeps at you all the time and you can’t turn it off.
Im in the process of having it all turned off with a plug in computer by kia or they’ll be taking it back.
Makes all the important beeps meaningles.
@ededdynova It will beep all the time. Due to no one can't hear the engine running. You are on BATTERY. Also, why open the door to park in tight spaces. You can step out and push the remote button to park the vehicle. Also, you also can use the screen to see your vehicle at a 360* view. Why park in a tight spot?

I belive you can mute the music either on steering buttons or use volume button down the bottom of the screen.
How about the wireless charging?

Hi, I just bought the new Kia Sportage and I want to know, if there is any way to play videos on the screen during driving!
As far as I know, it is probably a NO for most manufacturers. It is against most local regulations too.
It seems that away from the U.K. people are only offered this little rev-counter and speedometer and a horrible old fashoned gear charge lever. In the U.K. we can get a round disc gear changer and automatic hand brake.
Many mid to low spec Kia get this little rev and gear lever. Only the top specs get the fancy version.
Thank you so mcuh for the information. I have problem that my can GT line sportage that resets itself everytime I turn it off and on so I have to do same settings again everytime. Any ideas ?
Does everything reset every time or only specific setting resets every time?
@@JerryPanandCars it is random really but the lane safety I want it only warning becaues it pushes the car
@@clownky I see. The lane assist is default to be on whenever you start up. You can press and hold the lane keep button on steering to turn it off when you get in.

Yes, NZ versions have the tyre pressure monitoring. This can be found on the dashboard not on this screen.
Why do I get the message 'not all criteria met'?
How do i change the purple colour? for the whole screen, dials etc or am I stuck with purple
Unfortunately, all the new Kia cars come with just purple colour scheme.

Hello . Mine is grey not the purple background . Need help if its possible to change. Im from asia btw.
You can change the driving mode between Normal, Smart, Eco, Sport, then you will see the colour change in the background.
When you go through the menus and it bleeps, how do you turn it off? Thank you

I'm pretty sure the Sportage doesn't support wireless Apple carplay and Android auto it's only wireless? Unless that's only in the UK?
@@JerryPanandCars It not "even" the base model, but ONLY the base model, apparently. In higher-specked versions it's only via cable. It's because of some other wireless options for different features wireless CarPlay/Android Auto is unavaliable. Hope that helps.

Hi Yaser, sorry it was my mistake. The wireless Apple carplay and Android auto is only available in the base LX model. the 12.3inch screen only supports wired Apple carplay and Android auto.
@@JerryPanandCars wow that's crazy. It's such a huge feature why would you only have it on the lower spec.

We don’t have Kia connect in New Zealand yet. Try ask the sales person about it.
Why is the dashboard different to the U.K. ?

Hi, my Sportage lost the connection between car and Kia connect app. I reinstalled the mobile app but the problem still exist. From Kia online support told me to do hard reset with a needle. Do you know something about this?
We don't have this mobile app available in NZ. Maybe talk to the dealer and get it to reset.
@@JerryPanandCars but every Kia have infotainment screen. I found a little hole with a knob near to the volume

Shame that you guys drive on the wrong instead of right side of the road, like the good countries. Most people are right handed, so must be annoying having to reach over to the infotainment with your right hand.
I'm from a country where we drive on the opposite side, unlike New Zealand. I'm perfectly fine switching around. I can easily use my left hand for the touch screen even if I'm right-handed.
