- The 11 finalists of Moldova's Etapa Națională performed live tonight hoping to convince both the jury and the public that they had what it takes to represent the country at Eurovision 2024.

Once all the votes were in, Natalia Barbu was declared as the winner with the song "In the Middle" as the jury vote was prioritized.

The 68th Eurovision Song Contest will be hosted in Malmö, Sweden. Semifinals and finals will be held May 7th, 9th and 11th in Malmö Arena.

If anyone saw the auditions for the moldovan selection this year, you can't help but be impressed that Moldova finds a way to consistently give us solid songs with good ideas and performers that want to be at the contest and want to represent their country well. It's amazing how far just that will take you. We aren't asking for a lot, and I think Moldova shows up several countries in the competition that have upwards of 10 times the budget of moldova's broadcaster. This doesn't look like the finished product yet, Moldova always gives us more once they get to the stage, but what we have at this point is already a very solid song with interesting ideas and a vocal moment!
Yep, they had 4 good songs this year, and the winner was tied by the Runner-up, Natalia Barbu and Valeria Pașa-Bratu had the same number of points: 22, Natalia won the maximum number of points from jury, while Valeria won most of the votes from the public and tele-viewers.
This will definetly qualify, Moldova always gives us 100% and more with their staging in Eurovision, and this seems solid
This time they need to give 150% at least. It was far too static at the NF

the most interesting thing is that the song is called `´In the middle´´´, and if there is a place in the final it will be somewhere in the middle

Its giving Urban Symphony - Rändajad flashbacks... And i mean that in a good way. I think Moldova is going to give this amazing staging.
I am so obsessed with the staging, the subtle and mesmerizing moments. And the vocals, the coloratura notes at the end. Damnnnnn. ❤❤❤
I kinda love this honestly. And i like the concept of this performance. I listened to the song on Spotify first and I immediately added it on my playlist.
Moldovan auditions are always so chaotic lol. I think it's a nice song, her vocals are on point. Not the most interesting entry and not winner material for me but solid

Moldova always steps things up a lot for ESC so if they really nail the staging and camera angles I think this could actually be a standout moment

The best choice for sure! I would just like to see the instrumentation a bit thicker and fill it some more… I’d like to see some flutes added too, they always help:)
You should make the song audio louder
Second place had double the televotes and but they tied due to the 12 10 8 voting system and then the jury vote was given deciding factor. I much preferred the runner up to this. Although I think the qualifying chances would have been the same for either song, in that I think Moldova is borderline this year
This is already been slept on as usual and as usual Moldova will surprise folks. This will be on the Grand Final.
Honestly, I think what "hurts" Moldova a bit is the NS because it isn't happening on a big stage and the sound isn't great. BUT! We all know Moldova can put on a show. The song is good and Natalia is a seasoned talent. If it were to NOT qualify it'd only be because this is in a tough semi.

Yeah I think these are floating in the same category more than Raiven and Bambie.
Looking at the rest of the entries this was the best choice. It has this feeling of the 'Stepford wives' but with some small changes... Decent song, ethnic and somehow I think it will qualify. Untill we know all the entries.
I really like the song but there is something missing to it. If this would have been in semi 2 I would say definitely qualifier but as it is now I don't know
