@Fun_Ahead_TV_Official since you have the engine out, consider adding the 997 3.8 oil cooler as well for additional cooling. I will be going thru this same exercise in the next couple of months.
Thank you for the tip! I had not previously heard of that as being a possibility. Fortunately, my car has always had a close correlation between coolant temp and oil pressure with the stock cooler, even on track. I'm thinking that the center rad will do a lot to help keep oil temps down... still wouldn't hurt to throw the kitchen sink at it though haha. What are you planning to do for your car? Similar build?
@Fun_Ahead_TV_Official No rebuild. Bores are in good shape. Have owned my 996.2 a long time so it's a continual process of servicing and refreshing parts. When new and better solutions come out, you just fit it into the service cycle. I have tracked my car since 2004. Key is upgraded IMSB (Sokution or Retro), lots of oil supply (2qt deep sump), high quality oil that can handle heat, lots of oil changes to keep the oil fresh, high quality aos that can handle the flow of oil (UAOS Track version), and keeping water and oil temps contained.
That’s fantastic! Sounds like you’ve got a great car and you do a great job keeping it in tip top shape. Nice to be chatting with a fellow 996 / M96 fan!
996-106-666-56 is the right side hose. 996-106-665-58 is the left side hose. The entire center rad kit and part numbers can be found via Pelican Parts.
Looks very good.
Thanks John!
Nice job! Been appreciating your videos!
