Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time is a role-playing video game developed by AlphaDream and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS in 2005.
The game follows Mario, Luigi, Baby Mario and Baby Luigi as they travel through time in order to rescue Princess Peach from the Shroobs.
The author provides two audio commentaries, one with Anwonu and GhostKing ( / 137717116 ) and another one where the author goes more in-depth ( / 185055421 .

I still can't get over how ridiculous the Fire Flower is in a TAS.
Zastral at the beginning of this run I was like, " they are going to abuse the fact that they are a TAS and abuse red and green shells because they will be super under leveled all the time and the shells are unlimited unless you kill the enemy or mess up" but no completely obliterating every enemies with the flowers work too

Oh my... This was in Publication limbo for a long time and I'm sorry about this.
Thank you Migu for being nice enough to actually not cancel this when it was under publishing for 5 months and when new tech was discovered you're very kind.
This should've taken 1 or 2 months to publish, but instead it took 5, so I apologize on how slow I took to publish this.
No worries at all, it's great that this work exists now to enjoy, doesn't matter how long it took to make.
I think the same is true for the movie itself, it took almost a year longer than I was originally expecting but when I finished it was worth it.

This is one of the games I started at least 8 times and never finished for one reason or another...kinda regret it now because it looks so much fun.
It does look fun but holy heck the hand holding tutorial never seems to end.
I forgot how fucking good the music in this game was.
I can't be the only person that was terrified by this game as a kid. (And secretly still uneasy)

Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time is definitely the best Mario and Luigi game in the series. I've got great memories from almost 10 years ago of this game and I still love it's charm to this very day.

@@veloxplayer098yeeeah7 If so, then Alphadream in their first 3 games really liked to at least use someone's body for something (Bowletta with SS, Yoob in PiT, and BiT is literally part of the game's plot)

I remember playing this 10 years ago I believe I got stuck after a while and stopped playing it, this brings up some good old memories

I love this game, this is my favorite Mario & Luigi RPG game, thanks for this.
Things to note (Watch the video first):
- The Babies are always the ones doing the shopping.
- The "True" Final Boss it's Bowser with Elder Princess Shroob [ S T A N D ]
I hope they Remaster this Game. Like as Last Time Old Mario & Luigi Superstar saga got remastered.

This could indeed work...but the thing is if the game has originally been on a handheld with 2 screens they're going to remake for a handheld with 2 screens. Plus these remakes are just the last few games before the 3DS dies just to make children not feel left out for missing games newly coming out and just getting a dead system. It hasn't died yet because the 2DS XL was literally just released in 2017. By 2020 it should be finally dead. Can't say for sure.

Yeah, I figured it was something like that, it's just funny to see what looks like such a blatant waste of time in a speedrun.
Watching the Bro Item demos (which we can't see because they're on the top screen while you're in the menu) advances RNG. Normally you'd take damage to advance RNG, but uh... the Bros. kind of don't have any HP.
And what a strat it was, since it wound up MURDERING this boss.
This TAS doesn't use the skip glitch. Always pleasant to see how they speedrun these parts.

Curious as to why the TAS will enter an overworld fight just to get Mario and Luigi killed and for the kids to run away. Is it just that they couldn't/didn't want to avoid an enemy? Does it have something to do with how an area works?
I feel like UA-cam is trying to taunt me with this game. It shows up on my reconmended vids EVERY SINGLE DAY. It bothers me since I can't find a New copy at resonable price.

Nah, TAS-perfect Copy Flower just makes it hilariously trivial.
Also, this is the European version which chops off 2700 HP from the final boss across all phases.

Yep, the European version was made post-NA just like the Japanese version, so it's got the same optimization!
