I made this with just apples (we didn't have any cranberries) and my little brother LOVED it! He never likes ANYTHING I make, so this was huge, and after about 20 minutes the entire thing was gone and he was complaining he'd eaten too much. So now I know what to make for his birthday. Thank you, Julia!
yummy! I'm such a fan of recipes like this! I'm actually making something similar in a crock pot for a function i have this week - you take a couple packages of frozen mixed berries, some cranberry juice, and some dried cranberries and then add some sugar & cinnamon and let it cook on high in a crock pot for three hours. then you make a crumble that's basically like your crust and add it to the mix when you serve it - SOO yummy! :)
WOMAN! You are killing me! I just made you cheesecake for the fist time last night, it was amazing. Now I'm going to have to make this too! Thanks for the awesome recipes!
Hey Julia, Brown sugar here in the states is sugar with Molasses in it. It's very wet and has a ton of moisture and probably isn't what you want to be putting into this recipe. You could use White sugar OR we do have raw sugar here as well. Just wanted to clear up the difference between Brown and Raw sugar.
With Truvia and other stevia sweeteners, you are advised to only replace some of the sugar with it or the consistency won't come out right.Especially with the crumble topping, you really need some real sugar for it to become a crumble. I'd put the stevia in the fruit mixture just to reduce the sugar, I have had success doing that with apple crisp.
Ich hab es nachgemacht aber nur mit den Äpfeln und VIEL weniger Zucker :) Es war nach 20 minuten weg :D meine familie hats augegessen . Mega lecker danke für das Rezept ^^

suggestion:
for quick apple slicing... use a Zyliss Apple Slicer....
danke ;)

Hei juli. Did you use the plain old oatmeals or the processed one? Which is like in smaller cuts more like grains..
I like your cooking videos so so so so much
YUMMY!!! Julia, where exactly do you get fresh cranberries in Switzerland? I want to try this recipe & just an fyi, braeburn apples are THE BEST apples I've ever eaten!!!
Oh that looks soo good! If your ever in the central wisconsin area... Cranfest!
I tried it and it came out AMAZING! Well what I did get of it, everyone stole it from me! :)
do you use oats that you need to boil or oats that can be cooked just by pouring the hot water?
I still love this recipe but I use Stevia brand brown sugar instead of regular sugar and it comes out perfect! 👌🏽
I like to use Trivia as a sweetener. Would I use about the same amount of that in this recipe in place of the regular sugar?
~LoVe your food videos...
this is really random but your kitchen looks really nice! i like your counters :)
