- This is my first flight training lesson flying an aircraft with a retractable undercarriage, the Piper PA28-201 Arrow III, with Aeros Flight Training. We depart Nottingham and look at the differences with operating the Arrow then return back for some circuits.

I'm starting my CPL in a few weeks as well, so this was great to watch. Great airmanship. I've enjoyed the other videos as well, thank you for all your efforts!
Fantastic video great commentary Ben keep up the fantastic work
Great video and quite a workout, Ben! I used to fly an Arrow 3 from Sleap and they really do drop like a brick with gear down and full flap. Merry Christmas and congrats on the CPL.
Been watching your videos for some time now, and have always been impressed with your attention to detail and airmanship, I'm so pleased to see your moving onto the CPL I wish you every success.
Please keep the videos coming they make compulsive viewing, and the opportunity for others like me to learn from watching.
Merry Christmas, and all the success in 2019 you wish for.
Thank you, I’ve got lots more to come from the CPL, MEP then onto the MEIR!
Solid flying that bro!
I know what you mean about the circuits - I did all my training at East Mids with its 3km runway before getting my Archer shareoplane at Nottingham... at first I was wondering where the other 2/3rds of the circuit had gone! 😆
good CFI. Well done, chaps
Really interesting Ben, you have a really calm patient instructor.
Fantastic Ben, you really had your work cut out on those circuits but greased it every time! Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing such enjoyable and inspiring vids.
Amazing video!
Cheers mate!
Amazing Footage, thank you for taking us with you :) The Arrow is a beautiful aircraft!
Fantastic ...keep positive
Thank you.
Really enjoyed this one Ben.
"AIRSPEED ALIVE "Ben LOL
That’s the call I make in my day job!
Brilliant video.
Thank you Lisa!
I've been enjoying the CC mistranslations but when at 18:17 it started saying "I call that psycho something our cemetery is dead Santa something" I got worried. :-) I shouldn't even repeat what it said after 22:05 but the US President was mentioned for some reason?! Oh and the actual video was good too.
Just came back up on my recommended. Morris is the head of flying at my school. A great and patient instructor, puts you at ease. He did my skills test
That’s awesome!
Hi Ben. thanks for your reply. keep positive am returning to flying after 20yrar brake. your videos are helping me and am sure many other pilots get back into get back in to flying .A pilot never stops learning.

Hi.
thanks for your comment. yes experience is a wonderful thing. from doors opening on spinning to engine problems. it's fantastic how everything is on tablets and phones not to mention u tube. I really can't wait to get stuck in! the CAA is going over my paper work at the moment then it's up to perh to start flying.
According EASA, it's not a complex aircraft :)
“‘complex motor-powered aircraft’ shall mean:
(i) an aeroplane:
with a maximum certificated take-off mass exceeding 5700 kg, or
certificated for a maximum passenger seating configuration of more than nineteen, or
certificated for operation with a minimum crew of at least two pilots, or
equipped with (a) turbojet engine(s) or more than one turboprop engine, or

Amazing footage. Very knowledgeable for me as I am about to get Arrow endorsement and finish my CPL with it. I do have a question, when doing a glide approach , my instructor brings the propeller to course, it is something new to me as previous trainings I always left it to fine, In this video I did notice the propeller changed to course. Can you give an explanation for that please ?
That was magnificent Ben. Watched this very intently. Well done!
Thank you for your continued reports!
TEBZ is a great aircraft. It is the best Arrow in the Aeros fleet. It is great flying it in airways. Hope you enjoyed the training.
Recently did my transition flight to the arrow. This defienly helped my transition to the Arrow!!
Thanks Ben!
Great video as always Ben!
Thanks Dave.
What are the benefits of doing CPL before ME? And how did you find ATPLs?
32:10 Full flap and ground effect you would have made it
Really good video, huge fan can I have an autograph?
Ha
Great video Ben. Trying to get caught up on everyone. Fly safe
What is the name of the introduction background music Ben?
Nice flying Ben - can't wait to see the DA42 flights!
How comes your smartly dressed? Great job
Great to see someone working hard!
Ohh I miss that flying washing machine!! Great video Ben, keep it up and good luck with your training!
Thanks a lot!
Very nice Ben! The Arrow seems to drop like a brick when power is taken out.
Cheers Charlie!
Another interesting video Ben. what's the "red, blue, green" Ben, I guess the "green" is a check that the gear is down and locked but what are you checking with the "red" and "blue"?
That’s right!
On some other videos you see them use GUMPS. Gas, Undercarriage, Mixture, Prop, Seatbelts/Switches. I like the simplicity of red, blue, green.
Great video as always.
Glad you're enjoying it! The Arrow III is my favourite aircraft - all the ease and charm of a PA28 with the added toys and a bit more speed!
Such a nice way to put it!
@@PlaneOldBen TEBZ was based at Staverton with Aeros for quite a long time, used to see it/hear it on the airband or go spot it on the tarmac... Have flown the -161, have had a sit in an Arrow but never had the privilege to take it up... I'm currently teaching myself to fly the Arrow on my simulator - I've built a scale instrument panel of the Arrow III, definitely need to think a bit quicker compared to the Warrior - your video has been immensely helpful, will look forward to watching your continued progress :)
Aweeeesome mate! Looking good 😜😜✈️
Thank you!
I look forward to watching!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Love your videos Ben
Thanks Jack!
Great Video once again Ben
Thank you!
Is it meant to be in 360p?
Joshua Moffat it’s youtube being youtube
@@mbmedia916 I thought so cause Ben normally has it at 1080p
When the video first goes online it takes around half an hour to go to 1080p, for some strange reason!
Oh please if you're able do more of your cpl training this was fascinating
I could watch all day Oh and Good luck too Happy Landings Ben!
Oh don’t worry this is the first in a long series!
