Hey! I watch your channel, it’s cool. I have a an Archer II and recently installed the 2 G5’s as well, had some headaches with it and the magnetometer, maybe it’s due to the strobe system as well. I was thinking of upgrading the strobes for LED’s, is it difficult to do so? Nice vids!
Already zooming ahead with some complex, nice! You are more than willing to come out once I get signed off in my own plane, we had an issue with instructors so I hope to have it in the next 2 weeks or so signed off, at least it's here in Kissimmee. Tell your gf I like her new haircut and color, very nice! My wife has a short haircut so I think they are fun. My IFR is in 3 weeks or less now, getting nervous as my written is this Friday...so sick of taking practice tests!! haha
Loved my Arrow II. Not one issue for 400hrs! Great little family airliner on 10 gph and 143kts. If Piper had made the flying surfaces sans the gaps that later required "speed mods" it would have been better. A modern cowling (like the Leopresti) with the intake plenum designed to use ram air pressure might get you 24" MP all the way to 8,000ft on most days. A gap sealed Hersey bar wing flies great AND they are faster than the III's. I or the family had to pee every 4hrs so we didn't need the 72 gal. tanks. A great little airplane!!!!
I'll add here: the arrow doesn't have any mechanical up-locks. The gear stays up by pressure in the hydraulic system. If there's a problem with the pump, you just push down (I think?) on the lever on the floor, which releases all the hydraulic valves, and the gear drops (a spring pushes the nose gear down), and there are electromechanical down-locks. The advantage of this system is that if there's a catastrophic hydraulic leak, the gear just drops (unlike, say, a Cessna 182, where if you lose all fluid you're going to have a gear-up landing no matter what). The disadvantage is that for flights over water, you have to plan that if you have a fluid loss and the gear drops, you have to have enough fuel to make it back to an airport with the gear down.
What video editing software are you using? Windows? MAC? Does it have the video annotation object tracking functionality built-in? Very professional looking.
Great video! I really like the under wing camera. Gosh, those air speeds..... we like 110/120 (downwind), 100 base, then pump the breaks on final 90MPH ALL... And looking for 85 on short final. Our Hershey Bar Arrow N32693, really like that extra energy that 90 mph gives you. I really love your G5’s What’s your autopilot?
I have my Arrow differences training next week, this was a great intro so I know a bit of what to expect! Thanks!
No worries! I’ve got my HP endorsement in a 182 on Monday so I’m hoping I can remember it all!
Love your videos, by the way ... on both channels.
Had a lot of fun on this one! Hope you and Rachel enjoyed the Arrow! We should do this again sometime.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thanks for giving us the opportunity! We’ll definitely do this again 😁

@@ZeroThreeDelta Could you have made downwind leg? How does it works?
Great great great flight guys!!
Appreciate it! 😁
hi, could you tell me how you collect the sound? I mean conversation. everything is nice and clear.

3 weeks or less? Nov 2nd, isn't it? I think you mentioned it was Nov 2nd, at least.
Great video. I have a 72’ Arrow, LOVE it! Where did you get the airplane & tail # embroidered shirt?
What's technique for flying it on the correct downwind leg distance?

I guess that's what the peetot tube is for.
Good Job !!....Nice Flight !!
Excellent landing!
Thanks! 😁
Excellent photography. Rocking the Rockwell Automation hat too.
Dude, NICE cinematic intro shots!
Thanks! 😁
great flight guys, good job and yep you just got beat in a land off!! cheers PPL NZ
Thanks for the upload! I’m working on my complex/ commercial in an Arrow as well.
Awesome!
Love the intro and euphoria of this upload!! Nice flight
Appreciate it! 😁
How timely - I just flew an Arrow for the first time over the weekend! Still confused by the blue knob. :-)
Keep it above the throttle. That's all you need to worry about 😂
Nice change of pace.
I thought so. Something a little different 😁
Two of my favorite channels in one video! Nice work, Gareth. PS. I prefer your channel to Dixons. Much love Lewdix ;)
😂
Got my complex endorsement in a Piper arrow, definitely a fun plane to fly
Yeah, I enjoyed this one. I've flown an Arrow IV with my dad many moons ago but it was nice to shake off the rust!
Is there a way to extend the landing gear manually, just in case they don't come down?
Yes
It’s called a gear extension lever
It’s next to the flap extension lever
Yeah, what he said 😁

Greased!
Is he your brother?
Nice ride G 🤟
A’thank you 😁
Quality as always :)
Thanks! 😁

I use Premiere Pro CC on a Mac.
Like most tracking, it’s done manually with key frames.
What year is your Arrow in this video?
Got your checkride scheduled yet!?
December, most likely.
Nice one Gareth! Intro was very good and that landing was excellent despite your misgivings. What did you think of complex flying? 😎👍🇬🇧Tim
I enjoyed it. I'd be lying if I said I'd never done it before. We used to fly G-OMHC when it was at Tatenhill ... and Orange/White!
no "Welcome to the sky"?
Wrong channel! 😂
Great video!

What’s your autopilot?
You’re best asking @cflarrow 👍🏻
25 MP and 25 RPM is never stated in the POH, I don't why this is a thing and why it is taught like this. POH calls for Full Throttle and Max RPM.
What is your typical cruise speed?
My Arrow 2 w/most of the speed mods (except the expensive cowl) trued at 143-145kts at 7,000 ft at 24".
Hi great video work. The near miss guy probably isn’t using foreflight and traffic alerts. Old timers refuse to move into the new world.
That passenger door though 🤦♀️
Elaborate 🤔
He looks like your long lost cousin
😂
@@ZeroThreeDelta also, the plane has legs in the thumbnail
😂 Well spotted. I think they got rid of the legs on the Arrow III 😁
