A wonderful performance by this filly, and a good show from the boys as well. I count myself very lucky that I was there to see it yesterday. She was given a lovely reception when she came back to the winner's enclosure after the race and deservedly so. Great stuff.
Shergar won this race in 1981, the same year Own Opinion won the Indian Turf Invitation Cup in Bombay, India

Taghrooda- a champion! Her run in the stretch was powerful, and she showed them who was boss on this day. A solid field here too, and the filly wore them all down.
The arc could be very special this year if all the horses that should run do run. Taghrooda is the rightful favorite too, she looks fantastic

Would've loved to have seen this filly have gotten another season of racing before being retired. Probably unlucky to have lost to Tapestry at York in the Yorkshire Oaks, a filly I think she would've likely beaten 8 or 9 out of 10 times she would've faced her. Her only other loss was her highly creditable 3rd in the Arc behind two really good horses in Treve & Flintshire. Really special filly.

Love it that they say she's the first filly to win in thirty years when Danedream won it the year before. I know they mean 3 year old filly but the mugs who write for the racing channel should take the finger out of their arse and get the facts right!

I tipped her for the Arc long before this, she is simply different class.
She hasn't won the Arc though.....Sea The Moon will take some beating,he is more like the father than her.
She hasn't been beaten yet either. We'll see at Longchamp!
Its a shame with a end of season race like the Arc when a few horses you follow all year turn up,do you go with your heart or your head??Also can be hard luck stories being boxed in after the turn!!Good luck,Australia and co are better than Telescope.On the Telescope form back Noble Mission today in Germany group1,should win!!

well that's racing.Missed the break and was giving 10lb to the winner.That winner was 12length behind Sea The Moon in German Derby,solid form.Sea The Moon wins the arc on this evidence.Noble hammered Telescope twice this year,solid form.
avenir certain is my arc choice 5/5 unbeaten 16/1 but taghrooda and sea the moon are very good horses they will both leave me shaken on the day if all 3 go head 2 head
Yes great filly, with great pedigree giving a great performance. They will prob put a sheepskin noseband on next time to ensure better head carriage. There was a massive down pour on Fri afternoon for 2 hours which will have helped the ground.
I lumped on at 9/4 last week,nearly cried at 7/2 thank god for online betting!!She will run in the Arc but i like her close bred colt Sea The Moon,he is more like the father.

Treve will win the arc if it's soft ground end off! To get within a neck of cirrus des angles who in my opinion is the best 1m 4f horse in Europe or even the world! Do not rule out Australia though!

5/1 for the arc ?? Fill your boots ! She's being retired at the end of the season and hamdan al makhtoum will leave it all on the track with this superstar filly this year ! Think she won't win? Look at the derby and see how close romsdal got to austrailia (4 lengths!) and taghrooda anialted romsdal ! Add in the stated fact by gosden that this filly is NOT ground dependant my opinion is if she runs in the arc she wins the arc .. Simple as that ! And for 1 final point , have we seen the best of this long striding athletic daughter if sea the stars yet ??? HELL NO ! 5/1 ?? I'm on already ! ARE YOU ?? :)
16-1 for the arc before this race yesterday and I held off as I don't bet early on horse racing but I knew I shoulda!
Shame she had to be retired so early.. I really don't see the point... all the good horses get retired early.. and you ruin racing in the process.. let the horses realize their maximum potential, achieve all they can achieve at the highest level.. (2 seasons minimum!!) then retire.. the fans can't build bonds with flat horses like they can with national hunt.. I hope it's not hurting the game in the long-term..
