this insight, its crazy realistic, I feel the energy from here, the excitement and the emotion, even if the audio isn't up to tv or movie standards, this is realistic and I could imagine myself just being any sort of mechanic for a Formula 1 team! Big dream, these are the emotions that run through formula 1!
Feeling the same way. Always dreamed about being a racing drives when I was young - as a 25-year old I gave up on that, but seeing this perspective makes you really want to be part of the whole world of F1 somehow. God damn this is cool stuff.

Would absolutely love to have this same type of footage for the winning team/car for every race, the "behind the scenes" work of the mechanics and the cars being wheeled around and stuff like that
Thing is firstly those won't have this much hype, secondly i dont want it to become regular in a sense that it loses it's amazement, maybe one for like a Checo podium or when Sauber gets good points

Not up to the Queen. There'll be people whose job it is in government to suggest a list of possible people who are to get honoured in whichever way, then there'll be protocols completed and when the list is made, they contact the people on the list, offering them the award. It's up to them whether they're going to accept it or not (they're asked to keep it a secret so as not to spoil the surprise on the day of the announcement - one of two; new year's Honours list and the Monarch's birthday list). When the time comes, those who've accepted will be announced... and so on.
He may have already been offered a knighthood, but my feeling is that it's more likely to happen towards the end of his career or just after it (after retirement is the most common time, but a few recent govts have gone early, as it were, wanting to attach the name of that person to their own "success" as a govt.)
I'd be *very* surprised if he's not offered a knighthood, but of course it's his choice whether he wants it or not. And if he doesn't get one, we'll never know officially (at least unless he makes a statement, which is unlikely because he'd be breaking protocol. That sort of info usually gets out much later) the reason why he didn't get it. My assumption would be, should that happen, because he'd turn it down. Record-breaking/otherwise successful athletes usually get some form of recognition. It all depends on who's in government at the time as to who, how many, what honour & when.
And no, a person's background has absolutely nothing to do with whether they're awarded some honour or other. They're given to anyone who's earned it, and there are also awards granted to Commonwealth citizens for their achievements in their homelands.

And as role i would love to be a race engineer i don't know why but that job is just so magical, communicating with the team and the driver etc, etc.

The camaraderie between teams is amazing!!! I love it!! And the crazines of Hamilton's assistant!! even more amazing!! hahaha
Thing is, not like some sports teams, when everyone is in the heat of the moment, most team members in F1 are in clear mind, they understand that you want to beat your rival, but, mostly, you want their respect, and you want win cleanly and in a sporting way with magnanimity.

Hard to deny that, I think Verstappen is the only other driver with potential to be great.Vettel showed his mediocrity this year.
@@harveyberryflood7978 If you look at speed, lack of errors and consistency in performance, he may well be the greatest of all time. He can get 5 without playing dirty. This year NOT in a dominant car. In the Ferrari he'd have won by now also. Less drivers would be ahead in that Ferrari still. Just too many mistakes by Vettel. More than Verstappen probably even as he only has 6 really messy races at the start of the season. Vettel did the same mistake three times, create contact from the inside and spin himself. Never seen before.
Max may well be Hamilton's equal on raw speed and race pace, likely his better in wheel-to-wheel racing. But the unforced crashes cost him good points. He's never slow though. Losing pole to Ricciardo (a recognized Q3 killer, ask Vettel) by less than half a car length was a bad lap for him and he did have verified technical issues downshifting into slow corners. The greasy track and low downforce nature making it worse?
Senna was messy crossing the line of fair play more than once, like Schumacher. Fangio was simply another time, the cars were coffins wheels. Dying actually in the car was a bonus, you'd realistically be flung out before you blacked out.
Prost had one weakness: rain. Otherwise very consistent and relentless. Could win from down the grid. Missed out on a few titles arguably.

Awesome video. Shows what goes on the inside after a race. You can see drivers being interviewed, but already the team mechanics are going around and just getting on with their jobs. Cool
And this is why I dream of working in F1. The camaraderie in the paddock seems so cool!
Unless you have been on that Stadium part of the circuit, you have NO idea the noise and how much love Mexico gives to each driver, every lap and even louder at the end. One of my favorite circuits ever!
