24 Hours Behind The Scenes: Preparing For A F1 Race Weekend
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 жов 2014
- As the team prepared for the 2014 United States Grand Prix in Austin, we spent 24 hours behind the scenes, following Race Mechanic, Ole Schack and Race Team Co-ordinator Gerrard O’Reilly.
We show you what their role involves in the 24 Hours before they leave for the race. With Formula One race cars to prepare and build and over 30,000 kilos to co-ordinate, pack and load - they’ve got a bit on... - Спорт
1:08 D. Ricciardo and S. Vettel. The nostalgia is strong with this one
Even stronger now
Ye
woahh...thats hell of a preparation for a race....now i realised why drivers thanks their team so much after winning a grand prix...hats off people
The "car" is indeed half part of the victory.
The drivers only drive the car.
Usually 2,000 people work for the team, the most are back in the UK working on the computers on race days sifting through tonnes of data so the pit and drivers get every help they need......
That’s just the tip of the iceberg...
Ole has the toughest job. If the car breaks down he takes all the blame. If it runs good and they win the race. The driver gets the credit. Poor Ole.
I believe he was just putting all the pieces together for the front of the cockpit at the factory for shipping reasons. The teams reassemble the whole car on Thursday and run diagnostic tests in the garage to make sure everything is working; if Ole fucked up something, the mechanics at the track will fix it.
He got the credit when he fixed Max' frontend on the grid in Hungary!
The team and the car are always the most important part of it.
@@clemhfandango. old is a face mechanic
And then some bloke totals your car on the first corner....
DJSbros facts
Or Verstappen crashes into someone else
I got damage! Got damage!!! Arrgh! Um yea--
Or you crash it on the way to the grid...
Risk of the job, everyone who works in this factory knows that can happen. They do it for the beautiful things they can achieve when everything goes right. So not many people with the same mentality as you work here.
Ever wondered what happens in the build-up to a #F1 race weekend?
Check this video out as the Team get set for Austin and the Circuit of The Americas.
Do more behind the scenes videos please!
Why does everyone in Red Bull sound exactly like Christian Horner
it's called being english
They don't, but sound similar because you can't tell apart from various accents.
All British engineers around the Same mate
@@walkergp2130 Engineer from the South West working with engineers in the North. *Shock and surprise* none of us speak well recieved lol
You mean English?, 🤔
As we head back to the factory in Milton Keynes, ever wondered what happens 24 hours before and after a grand prix weekend?

I love those insights!

Thanks, that was a great video. The side of the team/sport you rarely get to see.
It's great to see the mechanics and the rest of the team on how they prepare for a race. Great job in keeping the cars in top shape.
I love how REAL this film is. The honesty and emotion from the guys makes for a really good feel for what it's like to work on the team. It's hard work that demands a lot from life, but provides a lot of pride and fulfillment.
"If you did'nt enjoy it, time to get out" - so true for every aspect of work. Thank you very much, that was fascinating!!
Fair play to this Mechanic for being well-able to speak and make this Clip so interesting. Ya wouldn't necessarily expect a standard Mechanic to like, be comfortable in front of a Camera, let alone well able to talk like this guy is here. : )
Red bull as a company tends to film just about everything they do. I think you'd feel out of place working there if you didn't like being in front of a camera lol.
Total OCDgasm at how clean and organized that workshop is.
Love seeing behind the scenes videos like this.
Matthew Sinclair I
PR BS for the cameras
That was a great piece. I loved how you followed those guys around, even to their homes and gave us fans a glimpse of their lives. Keep it up this was a fascinating tube video.
God bless men like these that make it possible for folks like us to enjoy this sport! Without them there'd be nothing!
I'm so jealous of them right now, I want that job
Tom Walker they're nobodies
and you are..?
Tom Walker 3 years later, have you gotten that job?
OP never delivers.
@@Kazi2812 never
Ohhh Yesss! Please do more!
24 Hours During a Grand Prix
Absolute dream job
not behind the wheel?
CV-KETEL31 you have to start young to make it, and it helps coming from an affluent family. Some people know they’re not suited to the limelight. Being a race mechanic is being directly responsible for the outcome of the race, without driving.
thanks i hate it being behind the wheel is 90% more fun and exciting
@@cv-ketel3150 What's not exciting though is when you fuck up and you have 2 million people shitting on your performance, don't tell me that wouldn't fuck with you the next race. Couple more of those and you'd already be looking for another job lol, it's nice to fantasize about these things but you have to look at the reality of it- imagine the sheer amount of pressure and mental-drainage (and of course physical) that these drivers go through... Wouldn't be surprised if 90% of F1 fans wished to be a driver, but 2-5% would actually enjoy it.
Fream job... Yes, until the rose tints break
Congrats to Ole! 300 races is a mighty fine number!
The behind the scenes workers such as factory, pit crew, technicians, engineers and so on don't get as much credit that they deserve they are truly the back bone of the team
man, i understand how bad drivers feel in they dnf, must be rough knowing how much work went into preparing the weekend just for you
5:25 is exactly what happened at yesterdays DTM Race in Budapest. A little screw jammed the brakes of a BMW and therefore changed the entire Race!
Great explanation! :)
So much for showing up and racing. This is a huge operation. My appreciation for the F1 teams has grown ten fold
This is such an awesome video! I'm finding these behind the scenes videos just as interesting as the racing! Please continue to share these. Thanks for the upload :)
I am just shocked the amount of work and preparation goes into F-1 racing it’s just amazing!!
What would hapen if someone had a Ferrari wallpaper on their PC?
The offender would've gotten 12 lashes
They would be rammed at top speed by the car
Bull's horn up the arse.
Nothing.
Doesn't Red Bull use Ferrari engines? I think a worse offense would be if it was a Mercedes.
Loved the amount of passion for the sport these guys have! Good luck in the final three races!
"If you say you're ready Two weeks in advance and there's nothing new, you probably not tried hard enough." Sums up F1 teams in a sentence.
Very cool piece of behind the scenes, we can see these are truly great professionals and dedicated people to the cause of winning. Well done RBR mkt team!
Wouldn't go far wrong getting a job in F1 that's for sure.
+Cory Baxter but its so much hard work you really have to love what your doing because you can get burned out really quickly
FTRRacingTv But that's every job.
asimb0mb nope
I didn't know you liked F1
The job stability is too volatile for long time purposes unless your really really good at your job.
What a great video, I have often wondered what life behind the F1 scenes is really like; thanks for the insider.
he has the best British accent I've ever heard on a foreign person
Yeah he sounds kinda welsh, although by the looks of the passport he’s a Dane
All this effort and the drivers sticks it straight into a wall. You'd be fucking fuming if you were an engineer
That was amazing never thought About The behind-the-scenes thanks for the information I enjoyed watching
I love this stuff. I especially enjoy F1 & NASCAR & NHRA racing. But watching how this stuff gets going is a real treat. Thanx Red Bull.
Absolutely fantastic, I loved seeing this. Normal guys, seeing their homes and how they pack. Love it.
A very informative video. Thanks very much for posting.
absolutely love it! just brilliant!
love behind the scenes sorta stuff. thanks redbull
great feature! Keep similar videos coming and thanks ;)
i would gladly get a job cleaning the bathrooms of the redbull team
Fart Vader one year later, how's that's job application going?
They even shit fast..so that would be a very easy job!
red bull can diarrhea all over the walls!
it's been 2 years. any progress?
its quarantine, any progress ?
These are fantastic!!
8:53 I will guarantee you 100% he is an 80's music fan!
I've never seen a record player like that, are you familiar with the model?

muchas gracias por compartir estos momentos tras bambalinas que son extremadamente valiosos para quienes amamos la F1. Cordiales saludos desde Chile.
Very cool. Thank you guys for sharing. I know what it is like with the old ChampCar & current IndyCar. A fun behind the scenes look into your F1 world.
Awesome video!!
Red Bull si such a cool team. Great contents very fascinating world behind the scenes. keep pushing guys !
I have that same Snap-on ratchet! In 3/8 and 1/4. I feel special now.
amazing job..hardwork 👌👌
So much awesomeness!
This is quality content! Probs
We need another one of these updated.
Imagine doing this 23 times every year. F1 is seriously underrated for all the work behind the curtains.
Imagine accidentally leaving the wheel gun box at the office 😂
Brilliant!. Thanks Red Bull. Great Video. Give us more. (Congrats Dan Ricciardo from Perth W.A)
I think every team should have a behind the scenes video like this of a whol season. Goodjob redbull for this video
Awesome. Love this....
very very cool and interesting to watch
What a great job!!
About the mechanical part, pretty much the same things that I do on combat aircrafts ! Pretty impressive.
Great Video
He has a kitten and works for F1...life goals
Pretty cool job!!
Hey, thanks for making this video. Fascinating stuff of the workshop and things and meeting two of the guys, rather than just "helmet men". :)
Each racer better be damn thankful for all the work and money it takes so they can enjoy racing those awesome cars.
Incredible
fascinating how well its good organisze
The best job in the world
What a dream job. I’d work for any F1 team in heart beat to do their grunt work.
Great B&O wall stereo!
We make sure the tyres are locked away in the back garage for the Aussie driver.
Jellybeantiger the aussie driver has a name. (Daniel Riciardo)
Nice to meet the guys who make F1 possible.
9:22 that blink! omg!
Crew Chief: Hey, you got that screw you dropped in the front end?
Me: Sure did😢🤥
100 years ago Britain was a world leader in heavy engineering , now we're a world leader in this type of fine engineering and technology .
No we aren't.
Super team !!!
I guess so many of us has forgotten the word sportmanship and no doubt thats explained why Formula 1 racing is by far the most prestige sport....it embodies a solid structure of teamwork. Just about everyone in a team has their role. A noble trait of recognition in governing a team to win the race in the track.
Cute cat.
Great to see Ole still at the team 8 years on!
the coolest team on the grid. love RBR
very in deep., complicated and the cat is so cute 😊
very good so nice
I love these videos good luck red bull
Does anyone know the model of that wall mounted CD player/sound bar?
Nevermind, found it. BeoSound 9000.

iNNeRKaoS I was curious if that'd caught anyone else's eye. thanks for adding the model number
he's danish, bang olufsen is also danish. coincidence? i think not :)
i didnt see this was from 5 years ago, as it popped up in my recommendations, only realized when he said, he builds the front of Sebastians car ^^
Wish they did more of these still
Amazing content Red Bull :D the enyoj of watching
A lot of respect to the logistics and operations teams, what a nightmare.
Pretty cool. The focus puller isn't very good, though.
swSephy | Sim Racing they do it on purpose, so that your not fixated on what they have, every part of that car and the job on that car is a secret and they want to keep it that way
@@luckyd77 Just like blurring the Volkswagen logo of the car the mechanic drives. Pretty priceless really.
Holy shit, fire the focus guy!!
LOVELY VIDEO.WHATS THE TITLE OF THE TWO INSTRUMENTALS ON THE VIDEO?
Great Insight ,thanks Red Bull
you wear that to go to work......that is soooo coool
Ohhh yes, this an interesting video !
That's one cool job
Ole is a very nice cool guy🙂🙂
6:08 back when Red Bull could count on Renault engines
