Anthony Fights Brand New used to be one of my favorite bands, but they got too dark for me to keep listening. Jesse and Vinnie write with such amazing depth, but I think they were on a path to nihilism and they really delved into it with Daisy. It made me sad, but I had to step away from them.

I remember the first time when i heard this song in a mix of batman the brave and the bolt, i was like 10 or something, and even though i did'nt understood anything of the song (im from a hispanic speaker country) it was love at first sight or hearing in this case. I used to play it always, get hyped and sing it, even though what i sang definetly wasnt english or any other language. But as i was growing and becoming a teenager i started to care more about the opinon of others and as it wasnt a common thing to listen to music that wasnt in spanish or wasnt reggaeton, rap or dembow, i stopped listenning to this song which made me forget completey this song. Nowadays 7 years after i remembered the lyrics and finally found it, and i felt that happiness and joy that as a kid i used to feel and made me realice that if you love to do something do it, no matter if the peopele tell you that it is lame or that is not cool there is only one life to live, live it and enjoy those little things that provides you that happinness that only as a child we used to feel.

Too bad the songs were always a looped minute or so. The game is one of the most overrated of all time, but man were the atmosphere and characters awesome, and the music only added to it. Blended together they all had a distinctly rebellious tone like most 2000's stuff did, but there was a certain ambiance that made the rough edges of the "rebelliousness" fall away and left a distinct tone that defines that era--a tech-focused world that was still unfocused enough to not have a uniform blandness like nowadays.

in 2006 I was going through radiation therapy for adenoid cystic carcinoma and every radiation treatment they would let me play anything I wanted on the shitty little boombox they had in the lab. The artist in the ambulance track 5 was what I chose every time for months. This song and the album got me through thinking I was dying and not being able to be there while my grandma died of lung cancer at the same time. This song will always live in my heart
These guys were 1st band I have ever seen at the 1st Warped Tour I went to which was also my first ever mainstream festival/concert @ THE GORGE in Washington. That day changed my life forever. Still love Thrice over 17 years later!

Many years ago, this song made me feel okay about questioning my faith. It was so comforting to know that I wasn't the only one trying to find the truth. Thrice always has been and probably always will be my favorite band.
The lyrics have very Platonic motifs to them in my mind. This is why I've always loved Thrice, because they promote quite a philosophical feeling in many of their songs.

Their new music is good but it's pretty much a different genre now. Illusion of Safety and Artist in the Ambulance was a blend of punk/metal and they abandoned the sound after this album.

It's really cool how Thrice is able to play many different genres, shows how talented they really are as musicians.
Many years ago, this song made me feel okay about questioning my faith. It was so comforting to know that I wasn't the only one trying to find the truth. Thrice always has been and probably always will be my favorite band.

The lyrics have very Platonic motifs to them in my mind. This is why I've always loved Thrice, because they promote quite a philosophical feeling in many of their songs.

What was the great stop? This kind of rock just stuck with me because it was what I was growing up on and listened to as I went into the Navy. Seems like time just stopped for me.

Illusion of Safety and Artist in the Ambulance was a blend of punk/metal and they abandoned the sound after this album.
The Fire and, to a lesser extent, the Earth albums were still kind of there, but they've definitely evolved past that it seems.
