Lol, no, Larry Bird and Michael Jordan did not have a "little" commercial.. that commercial was so good that there were spinoffs of it for the next 3 years! 🤣
The McDonald’s commercial was debuted during the super bowl, I think. I’m not certain though.
Ok, my Asperger’s kicked in and I had to check. The commercial debuted during the 1993 super bowl and it was an immediate sensation. This was one year after Bird retired so he was still huge in peoples minds and Jordan had already become a superstar.
Love Larry’s deadpan dry sense of humor & his comedic timing.
😂 yeah Larry was funny, just not exuberant out there smiling in your face like Magic. Magic with his ear-to-ear grin; Larry more coy
His humor was subtle. A lot of people wouldn’t get it and think he’s being serious, which is a shame.

Michael had the best mid-range of all time. Bird is the greatest overall shorter of all time (mids+3’s+Free throws+clutch)
There were so many commercials with those guys in those days. You couldn’t watch tv without seeing them. Super fun.
I wish I can remember the player that came back at Larry with, “You know where to find me,” before Larry came back with, “Yeah, I know where to find you: at the end of the Bulls’ bench.” (I think it was the Bulls.)

Loved those commercials! But I’m a huge Bird fan, so not surprising.
The commercial where Magic pulls up in a limo was filmed at Bird's house in Indiana. It's when there friendship began. Bird's mother made them lunch. They got to know each as people, not just as players or competitors. There are videos about it on UA-cam. The HBO documentary is really good too.
If you find that roundtable, with Magic, Larry, Kareem and Bill, that's one you should react to. That's a table full of legends.

Those commercials were awesome 😍 👌 🙌! Remember, we didn't have the technology we have today. There was no streaming services etc. We did have VCR's where you could tape a game if you were gonna miss it (which I did sometimes 😉) but I think most people sat down to watch a game when it aired. There were a bunch of those commercials and even if you weren't a basketball fan, you could repeat some of their dialog. They were really funny 😆 🤣 😆 🤣! "Over the freeway, through the window, off the wall, nothing but net . . . " or something like that 🤔!

Those McDonalds commercials haven't aged well at all but they were awesome at the time. It was a series of commercials, not just one.
As for the game of horse, I'd just say that Larry would win some and MJ would win some. If they trash talked each other neither would miss and the game would never end.

Larry has a very dry sense of humor - like many introverts do. Besides his in-game trash talking, he’s a man of few words - but he’ll hit with a sudden zinger with deadpan delivery.
That commercial when Magic pulled up in a limo to challenge Larry to 1v1 - that commercial shoot was the beginning of their legendary friendship.
The single most important question is..why is this smoke wearing ski goggles?🤣😎

Jordan vs Bird were Super Bowl commercials for years. Also Bird was the only NBA player in the original Space Jam besides Jordan with lines.
There is a much funnier commercial played during the Super Bowl with Bird and MJ. It was two stupid fans going to buy tickets day of the
Super Bowl. Jordan gives them his tickets because he is in the middle of his horse game with Larry.
Barkley has lines in that movie. There is a least a scene with him in church praying for his basketball skills to come back. He says he'll never swear again or get a tec foul.
@@dansharp2860 you are right. I forgot that. Jordan said in an interview he wanted Bird because Bird always showed up for his charity events and was generous with his time.

Shaq and Barkley are pretty dang funny.
At a HORSE game Bird would beat Jordan more often than not. At a 1-on-1 basketball game Jordan would beat Bird more often than not. If you took two equal randomly selected teams and put Jordan on Team A and Bird on Team B, then Team B will beat Team A more often than not.
That is my guess anyway.
These clips were part of a series of McDonalds commercials back in the 80s and or 90s. At least those of Jordan and Bird.

Do check out the interview with Letterman. Magic and Bird are both funny as hell. It takes brains to be that funny.

Well prime Mike couldn't shoot as well as prime Larry, but Larry did have a couple seasons where his stats went "inexplicably" down on 3-balls & such. But we all know why that was now

I would take Larry Bird in the game of horse!!!!! The Lakers coach, Pat Riley, famously said---If I had to choose a player to shoot a shot to win a game it would be Michael Jordan. If I had to choose a player to shoot a shot to SAVE MY LIFE it would be LARRY BIRD!!!!

Bird had a much better shooting form than MJ. But MJ was much better on the inside. Would of loved to see them both perform on the same team. Cause those are two players with attributes that could dominate the game.
