Who else is here for Sebastian York's face? 🤭
Meeeee!!!
Me
Hahahahahahahahaha ME TOO
ME!
Yes! Yes! Yes!! Ohhhhhhhh help, I’m feeling so deprived!!
Have trubble reading I fell in love with audio books because I could close my eyes and instantly be transported to a new world.
Nanny McPhee is a Narrator?! Oh my gosh! Practicing for my recording, this has given me more motivation
We love the work you all do! Audible rocks!!!
You guys from audible, should improve the searches on the phone app, so the audiobooks could be filter by narrator... They are sooo important to the experience.... As well to put a category filter just by narrators
True more good books are ruined by bad narration and elevated by great ones.
I believe this feature exists.
I wanna see how Sebastian York looks like .. can't find any pic of him. I've found Aiden snow though
But... At the same time, the mystery helps the imagination as he's voiced a wide range of characters. I'd hate to think he's anything less than a guy I fell in love with. Like a slub, in a greasy t-shirt and not who he's voicing. 😂😂
Ang Paciadora I agree have you found one yet?
From what I could find he's dark headed, blue eyed and taaaaalll
Me too I want to see his face. I fell in love with his and Andi Arnt's voice
Sebastian YORK’s real name to Pete Simonelli. You can see pics of him on UA-cam or Safari just type in Pete Simonelli. He lives in NYC and also, a vocal singer for ENABLERS. SY, is starting to use his real name in some narrations. There is a interview with him on UA-cam. He is quite the character. Check out Zachary Webber aka Jacob Morgan, in the Aristocrat it has to be one of his best. Also, Shane East, Jason Clark ( also sings) & Christian Fox, these guys are so talented that they can turn the worse of the worse into a gem. Hope this helps you out.
Stephen Fry is so good I cannoy
Dang it! Every time I see/hear Stanley Tucci, I think of the song “Tucci Gang” from SNL! 🤣❤️
... but he certainly has a voice worthy of audio books. Add that to his list of awesomeness!
Me tooooo
My ovaries are exploding!
Sebastian York and Aiden Snow ❤❤
Steven Pacey. Listen to The Blade Itself for a sample of his brilliance
He’s incredible
Simon Jone's narration of the Bartemaeus Trilogy was my fave!
WOWOWOW
How I wish to be one of these narrators
I love audiobooks
Meeee! Want to see him too! Where is he?
Anyone knows what mics they use at Audible?
Mostl Condenser mics. The high end studios and actors use the U87 mostly (a $3,200 mic) but there a lot of home studio narrators (high rated and top seller books) that use the TLM 103 (a $1,100 mic) MKH 416($1,000 mic) and AKG C414 XLS (another $1,000 mic) powered by a Apollo interface ($1,000) or Arturia Audiofuse interface($800). Plus a well design Room or Booth that can range from $5,000 to $10,000.
And some narrators use Warm Audio 87 ($600 mic) , AT4040, Rode NT1 and NT1A (close to $300) with some Audient or Focusrite interfaces (that prices goes from $100 to $500) but with a set up like this one, usually are used by books that are not top selling books.
There are some dynamics microphones also used, but I have not heard of a Top selling book that have used one.

I’d like to see his face.
The only suggestion that I have with the audiobooks is, the female should read the female parts, the male should read the male parts. Instead of the female, trying to change her voice to sound like a male and the male sounding silly, trying to sound like a female I don’t understand why the female can’t just talk for the female, and the male talk for the male, regardless of whose chapter it is. Other than that, I absolutely love audiobooks.
