- This is one of my favourite Jam from the movie "The Girl from the Song". This movie is very romantic and this song is sung by Eric during his first performance which was because of Jo. The Girl from the Song.

For those whom havent seen the movie to give this scene some context. He has been sorta seeing the girl who he is singing to but he hasnt played music so she could hear. She has wanted him to play and has said so many times. She signed him up for an open mic and I think he didnt know or may have. She basically gave him a put up or shut up opportunity. He then unleashes this version of one of my favorite songs. This song doesnt tug at my heart strings it tightly grasps them and rips them out to show me what exists underneath. And this version is hauntingly perfect.
And that he saw the joy division logo on her jacket so played her this song was pretty cool. And then she didnt listen so he sang louder en she was like “😳” 😂😂
Also i have the exact same feeling i love joy divisions version but when i saw this movie WOW i cant stop listening to it he sings with so much emotion

I always have poignant shivers when I listen to Love Will Tear Us Apart ... but this version traveled all over my spine from the top of my head to the tips of the smallest fingers ... I saw the movie - this scene is by far the best.

Everyone has a different perspective of this song , but I think we can all agree that this is a heart breaking song from a lover that sing here any more. The girl of your dreams is no more . The girl you love isn’t here , the harsh truth of she will never want you back . Or never take you back .

Love tears your heart out. Even the love that lasts. I dare to say the love that lasts tears it out the most in small ways over time. Then the love that shines too bright and burns itself out in a couple years can make you feel flayed. This song somehow ended up encapsulating all forms of friction. We were robbed of a musical genius. 41 years and a month ago. Sorry for getting inside my feelings and trying to sound profound. Lol

I found out a week ago maybe, that my dad who grew up in the time only new the live version on tape and never heard the original. He was so disappointed by the slow but it adds to it so much
