I remember as a kid when Slenderman was actually scary. Remember I use to live near the woods, me and a friend would take an old radio down into the woods, but because we didn't know how to use it whenever we'd turn the radio on in the woods it'd cause static, therefore "proof" that Slenderman was real. Lol
You didn't know how radios worked?
Yeah, I was 9 and what I mean is, I didn't know you had to pull out/extend the antenna and then turn the little knobs to select a channel.
I'd watch my grandfather use it and I guess I didn't really pay attention to the "steps" he took to make it work, so in my child mind all I had to do was turn it on and if it didn't play anything it was because of Slenderman.

Sally isn’t his daughter, she’s another creepypasta. She’s a young ghost girl and people tend to put her with slenderman because he’s surprisingly the most “responsible” of the creepypastas (at least according to fans)

Ehh, not really connected universes. It’s just that the fans decided that everything in there was connected.
I read creepy pastas stuff. It’s actually good, just that the more popular ones attracted one of the worst sides of the internet.

Slender man was always what kids on the playground warned each other about like it’s a real thing and freaked me out
First time I heard about it, I was in the middle of the woods at night on a big trip. We were playing basketball and were allowed to walk back in pitch black darkness. Imagine my time then....
Crazy because you can easily "see" him in every tree and shrub, making you freak out.

Marble hornets is way better than the slender man movie.
Me and my best friend used to binge watch it when we were kids. One time we let his little brother watch with us and, forgive I forget which Entry it is but, as soon as a hand reached around a doorway the little brother just freaked out and cried a lot. Those were really fun times. I love the found footage style they used.

@@Badusername2000 multiple people from Marble Hornets wrote the story for Slender: The Arrival so I think they really knew what they were doing with the character.

The scariest part of this movie is when I was watching it with friends at their place and someone started knocking on the windows of the room we were in, and that happened at the very start of the movie. Safe to say we were only kind of spooked throughout the rest of the movie because of how unnerved we were by the knocking. Had the knocking not happened I’m 100% sure we wouldn’t have been spooked at all.
TBH that seems like it would make the rest of the evening spooky even if you were all drinking Tequila in a well-lit room and watching Rocky Horror

The Marble Hornets web series is incredible. It's also the thing that made me realize I can't get high and watch horror.
They saved themselves from talking about Slenderman by changing the subject as many times as possible.
The goal: make a Slenderman review.
The action: "GIVE THAT KID A JUICY ASS!"

The slender man fan lore and everything else could've made for a variety of great movies.
Besides the lost in the forest idea, a movie could be made as a slow burn that follows a slender man target. A slow drive to insanity as people cant see the danger that looms over them.
I'd like to see a slenderman movie directed by osgood perkins I feel like he would make a really good slow burn one
They need to make a movie on the arrival. That game story was so tragic and honestly just plain creepy. A child disappeared, the father goes insane and kills himself, two friends investigate, finding the slender man, trying to uncover the secrets but slowly goes insane. One character burns himself alive to stop the spread of slender, while the other runs away, only to be made in to slenders proxy.
For anyone wondering who "We hate movies" is, just do yourself a favor and download it now. I have never so much at work as i have while listening to WHM. One of favorite things every week.

Frankenstein's Monster was confirmed as a dude in the original book, at least! He wanted Victor to create a FrankenBride for him and he actually started work on it until he realised "hey uhh maybe i don't want these walking corpse-jigsaws breeding?"
Of course (and I'm not the first person to point this out), that implies that yes, Victor had indeed given the Monster a fully-functioning cock and balls. In fact, the monster was considerably taller than a regular person (~8 feet) to make it easier for Victor to construct, so, proportionally speaking, the Monster himself was hung like a reanimated horse :3

I've been binging the deadmeat podcast playlist for a few days now and I'm loving it. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard watching a video before. I would have never imagined myself laughing at defeating slenderman by circle jerking. Much less laughing about it for almost 5 minutes. But holy shit is that fucking funny.

I’ve invested a lot of time into studying Creepypastas: both the lore and the community and I never ever heard of Skinny Sally. If that was actually made by the community, that’s not surprising.

19:15 my elementry school had a cemetary across the street and we went on a "field trip" over there one time in 5th grade.
My little sister is a big slenderman fan(creepypasta, marble hornets and games), she hated the movie and the fact they put a space in slenderman, we hope slender man doesn't get a sequel

I first downloaded We hate movies a year or so ago and it was their Halloween 6 episode and I was in the gym listening and crying g laughing at the roasting of Dr. Loomis. Classic

I'm glad you guys brought up Marble Hornets because I was going to geek out so hard about it. NightMind explains it best (in my opinion) but the cliff notes version is that Marble Hornets was more or less created at the same time as the SomethingAwful post. And surprisingly, a lot of the mythos and powers we give to Slender Man were originated by MH. Fun facts and all. And yeah, this movie sucked. I had high hopes, and honestly, only some slender web series have been good. :)

Okay, here's the thing, this movie could have been really cool and go off the Marble Hornets idea of found footage and like pop on and off of the camera, because that's where the static comes from when Slender is around cameras, the cameras go crazy. The producers had so much free-range with this movie like they could have used the video game lore with Kate the Chaser and all those things, they could have used the stabbings, they could have even asked Tim Sutton and Troy Wagner about Marble Hornets. They had so much potential with this movie, and they just threw it all in the trash
