That Muun, classic! I believe I have another LP with this Karl Berger project. Almost all Berger is worth having. SOnde also is classic. The one in this I've been after is that canadian comp, just waiting to stumble upon a cheap copy, I believe that can still happen. Haven't listened to it yet, though. Serge Arcuri , I have his 7" on Capac, highly recommended. Cheers, Chris

Hey hey brother..I am glad I finally picked up that muun..25 years plus delay..lol..still a cheap lp comparably to others of it's ilk..agree totally on berger..I had several of his lp's at one time but I traded them for things I wanted more..but they would certainly be welcomed in the collection again.
If anybody here would know the sonde and love it..it would definitely be you..😀..the whole music gallery editions series deserves more appreciation in general..the Canadian experimental music scenes are a goldmine that people have yet to really dig into..
In regards to the Johnston percussion comp I waited on that as well till a cheap copy popped up on ebay domestically so I finally grabbed it..just one less thing of thousands off my wl..lmao..
I have no doubt it will make it's way on to your turntable at some point.
I know outside of alex your one of the few people that appreciates percussion lp's in general..
I love the acuri piece so the 7 sounds a treat and well worth hearing..
Was thinking of doing a folkways spotlight video at some point and naturally thought of you as I know it is your favorite label and you have extensive knowledge on the subject.
Always great to talk with you and I appreciate your knowledge and insights and passion brother always.
      Much love chris

Beautiful selections. Most intrigued by the Peter Lemer which I may seek out. Very blissful and cathartic. Sonde sounds and looks wonderful. Quick 30 mins!

Hey there brother..really glad you enjoyed the video..the lemer unfortunately is very expensive but an amazing lp and definitely cathartic..crazy energy on that..
The sonde might appeal to your taste for experimental sound exploration..definitely more affordable than the lemer..😉.

Hi Chris, another wonderful selection of records. And one this time that I know and have - the Nono. I have the Svart reissue - they always do an excellent job with their reissues. The Sonde, Secta Sonica, and Neue Orgelmusik sound right up my street. Would love to get the Yamashta and it's two companions. I have most of his fusion albums, but I'm also looking for his earlier albums. The very first album I got by him is one of his classical percussion albums which I've always loved.
I'm ashamed to say I did not know of (or had forgotten about) the Georges Grunblatt album, especially being a big Heldon / Pinhas fan. So you had me scouring Discogs, and I managed to find a sealed copy of the reissue for a very good price from a seller in Belgium - plus he had a couple of Catharsis albums I don't have on vinyl. Hope you have a wonderful week, Pete.

Hey there brother..you know I forgot you had the nono..😀..beautiful reissue as we have a copy at the shop..the band he was in uni-sono was reissued as well..great lp I really want an og of that one!.
You would like secta me thinks..
Actually everything you mentioned you would no doubt like..lol.
I love early stomu as well only have a couple from that era myself..
Nice on the grunblatt..😀..like I said it was shelved for three years and released with little fanfare but it is a near masterpiece so enjoy that one brother!..glad you got something extra on the order as well..😀..much love chris

Hi Chris, loved the Santoor music you were playing in the background, really superb. I will check out the Stomu Yamash'ta record as I only know the jazz fusion albums. However I have a wonderful collection of pieces by Toru Takemitsu and Stomu plays on a track called 'Cassiopeia' which is excellent. Thanks for sharing your fascinating records. Great video. Peace.

I didn't know Lemer had stock copies, will have to invest(igate)? the mix of electronics with the drums and chants is amazing. I was wondering about the piche, hadn't been able to find any clips. sonde is another I need to check out....well most of these really. I will say the pinhas project I was not sold on, bit of a different flavor on that one. thanks for sharing these chris.

Guessing sonde would be up your street..pretty much the music gallery editions series in general..
Ya I don't think the piche track is on line will have to play it for you sometime..definitely a different kind of energy on it.
Lol..no grunblatt for you huh..I feel you..life would be boring if everybody liked everything..😉..

asilah 80... awesome! I think I was the only one with this in the vc back then. Not any more, lol. Your description was spot on! And really cool you got it from the artist for a good price. I think, many artists don't know the value of their records, and it's quite stunning in fact if you think about it. Take care bro!

Nice background music. I love santur and similar instruments. I recently got Shivkumar Sarma’s record on Ocora, and have played it quite regularly since. I actually have a couple of cassettes by him too that I found in a charity shop, but have’t played them in forever since my cassette deck died... I also got Radif, solo santur album om Harmonia Mundi, along with the Sarma.
That Lew / Brown album is great, been on my wantlist for a while, slightly better than their first one, imo. Those two I have by Lew on Made to Measure are also played pretty often in this house. Albums that anyone could enjoy, really. My only association with Hollander besides Crammed Disc is Aksak Maboul, but I never heard of Cos, will look into that.
That Moroccoan album looks nice, I still haven’t gone in for Morocco music, but that time will come :) I tried briefly that Maroc Eternel on Arion, but wasn’t hooked immediately.
Will definitely try to check out that Decko album, as you probably know I’m a big fan of Wakhevitch. Same goes with Taj Mahal Travellers, I’ve been meaning to check out that Sonde album since you posted it on IG. Looks pretty neat.
Lou Harrison, always been interested in the guy, but haven’t picked anything up yet, but that is also just a matter of time, lol.
Great update, as always! Much love, Johan

Hey brother really good to hear from you and really glad you enjoyed the video.
Love both Sharma and radif..I have those as well..great stuff 💖.
Lol..I like the first lew/brown slightly more..but there both excellent as you already know..😀.
The made to measure series is great and still affordable and I dare say underrated..don't have the lew's but I have a few others.
Need the first maboul lp hollander did..great record..cos was sorta of like a Belgium Canterbury/rio band..
Excellent stuff og's are expensive but there whole catalog has been reissued I only have one og of there's.
Well with the Morocco stuff at least your giving it a chance and exploring it which is a start..😀.
I love all those American 20th century guys like harrison cowell crumb etc..always worthwhile and interesting imo..look forward to seeing your completed music room and what you have been listening too in the interim brother..much love chris

Hey buddy-real nice BGM on this one....
Once again , quite an education on World music.. That Karl Berger 2 disc set looks cool....I'm a huge fan of Teitelbaum....
The Korean album looks really cool as well.... Somewhere I think I still have my live 'Go' double vinyl album (with Schulze & Al DiMeola) which I bought as a new release back in the late 70's... I'll keep my eyes open for that Stomu album, sounds like my kind of thing... Geez, 'Impact' 'Live Electronic Music', that Electric Organ album and the Sonde look cool as well!
Great seeing you again buddy-hope you & family are doing well!

Finally back on this Sunday evening to enjoy the rest of this magnificent update Chris. Your videos are so darn essential to me and my every growing appreciation for jazz. Good to see that you finally able to grab the Neue Orgelmusik album. Is 'orgelmusik' an actual style of music? That Mono album sounds killer. Like one that I would dig. I have been on a Nucleus, Oregon and Tyner kick as of late. Oregon was a brilliant band. Checking out that Catalonia album. Writing that down now. The best twenty two minutes that I spent all day. Actually I re-watched most of what I saw last night too. The best almost thirty minutes that I spent all day. Fab update. I got to file some albums myself. I will be posting two videos soon. The first will be an awful update on my music room. I am way behind the eight ball. But I want to share a step-by-step process of the whole room as it comes together. I am not a painter, carpenter or an electrician. My dad was a jack of all trades. He could do it all. I learned a lot about maintaining a house from him. But I never became a pro at any of them. Anyways. Hope you have a great week Chris~
