  • Dry Eye Syndrome manifests as burning, stinging, tenderness and blurred vision along with pain and the sensation of something in your eye. The commonly prescribed medicine to combat this situation, Restasis, often requires months to relieve symptoms. In early studies Restasis drops and its non-medicated vehicle marketed separately as Refresh Endura seemed equally effective although the annual price for Restasis approaches $5000. Uncomfortable adverse reactions routinely prompt many to opt in favor of the newly available competitor Xiidra.

2023 Xidra was declined by my Inc, but Restasis was approved, gritness in my eyes since I was in my middle 20's looking like glitter in both eyes, floaters, some taring from a past job, when I was wearing safety glasses, and something got in my eye, and the Cowards would not let me go, photophobia all Florescent bright lights & LED lights have always bothered my eyes, driving at night into the city lights, or headlights coming towards me was migraines, had to get a damn exemption for my tinted windows to decrease the progression with the slight caterax in my right eye, and I'm only 40 yrs old. Tinted windows are pain in the butt, always have to be kept clean, 12 coats of RainX, and If you live near a dust road, every darn time have to get the feather duster out to prevent scratches. I noticed an immediate change when my eye doctor gave me Xidra with week supply after the 4th day, " I was like this is great stuff indeed" but no Ins will not pay for that new brand; yes it did kinda sting while putting in the one day throw away, but it was worth it, unfortunately I have to stick with Restasis now, the FDA are greedy jerks as out of pocket with 25% off for Xidra ( sorry if I got the spelling wrong) I was looking at 1,950 bucks. I've tried all the best over the counter eye drops : Thera Tears dry eye relief Similasan for grittness, floaters, dry eye, and all the other expensive products. I refuse to put Propylene Glycol in my damn eyeballs, " No way ". Being very lucky I never got my father's bad eyes, he's was never to drive a car, and still cannot to this day, my half brother got his bad eyes, same thing he'll never be able to drive anything but petal bicycle for travel. I wake up in the morning have four quarts of well water, to drink everyday. A well regulated hydrated body, should solve all issues right ? As I take non GMO vitamins with minerals for the eyes, and alot of non GMO vitamins for being healthy & nvr getting sick. As I'm writing this I'm on finishing up my gallon of H20. My concern is, why some eye Doctors have no clue about Florescent tube lights are bad on the eyes, and same goes as LED lights. All the information on the dangers of these certain lights I have mentioned, they will call you a certain name, so the eye industry can remain busy. Look up the info folks, it's very shocking and do not use G⁰⁰gļĕ. In my own house I use the old yellow regular bug bulbs, and Hurricane lanterns, to avoid more eye damage, and staying off the darn computer, as much as possible. Eye doctors need to come clean how dangerous LED lights are, only one eye Doctor came forward as of many who graduated with Sen Rand Paul, knows damn well LED light bulbs & Florescent tube lighting are not good for the eyes. Everywhere is LED lights why, to keep the eye industry busy, just like the medical industry. Hope I spread some knowledge for anyone willing to listen, and do some research, just like those dangerous antidepressants need to be banned, and the forced pokey. God Bless You All, stay healthy pay attention to the poisonous ingredients that say bioengineered in your food ingredients, no one deserves this it's absolutely a shame we must spend high dollars on medicine that works, as Qadoffi the man who supplied free electric to his people , the one who did the great river project & was right, why should citizens be charged high prices when each medicine should only cost, so little. Sorry to write 1-5 chapters, but I really needed to get this out.

Just got the prescription. I’ll try it once. If it burns my eyes, out it goes. I’ll just use artificial tears more often. Thanks.

I did the same 2 years ago and wasted this expensive medicine. This time doctor told me that it takes times to show the result so I am continuing it.
