Amersham, Buckinghamshire.
Various shots show the exterior of a fabulous art deco house on a hilltop. It seems to have four floors, a balcony on the top and a glass-covered stairway running up the centre. There are no entrances on the north side of the house, to protect against cold winds and wintry weather. A water tower with a power plant in the base stands beside the house.
Inside the house, we see several shots of the different rooms and interior decoration. A small water fountain is in the entrance hall. The drawing room and dining room look light and airy; the kitchen is fitted with numerous labour-saving devices, including a service lift. A maid is seen walking about the house and up the stairway. Several shots of the bedrooms and nursery; two children play on the balcony on swings and in a sandpit.
Note: this is excellent footage of a modern house of 1931.

Why do people build ranch style homes now in neighborhoods
Instead of a citizen “make your own” design
Who gave the power to change “the law of architecture”
These homes anybody would have.
It’s like if human went “backtrack”
On architecture style
You can still design your own house... if you have the money! It's much cheaper to build all the same houses
