Thank you very much for your video. With WinSCP it is less scary to modify the equipment. Do you know more modifications through WinSCP? Do you know where it is modified to obtain 10w when we use the equipment only with the battery? Thanks.
Should this work on the latest firmware? I just updated my 6100 to the Nov 2022 version. Unable to connect/establish connection via winscn, on cell hotspot, laptop and xiegu both connected to hotspot. Maybe not ok on cell hotspot, not sure. Thanks for all your videos.
Thanks for the video, looks pretty easy but I'm stuck. My 6100 running the latest firmware shows i'm connected to WiFi but when I go into WinSCP I can't connect. I can go into my router and see the Xiegu x6100 showing a ip address but status is inactive? I try to use the address and it times out. I'm sitting right next to the router. Anyone see what I'm doing wrong???? Thanks Tex ka5y
Hey, thanks for your awesome video! I followed it step by step, but, time after time, no connect. :( If I ever figure this out, i'll be over the moon! I'm familiar with .ini/.config files, but in this case it's no go for me. Probably a very simple instruction i missed somewhere? I assume you connected wifi successfully? Done all that, holding it right next to router.....no, i'm just about to give up.,,,
okay, i'm not quite there with this..... On WinSP I get the box pop up to enter details. All I keep getting is Access Denied. :( Then I fired up PuTTy, and I get console containing the following string... [root@XIEGO-x6100:/root]# backspace/enter : nothing Then I type in Login and asks for user, good Password : well, it wouldn't let me type the password
Thank you for making this video! I see all these videos about tweaking this on the X6100, but they never really explain how to do it in simple terms.
Hi your welcome.
Thanks for turning me on to WinSCP. I wish I'd had it when I'd gotten embedded Linux projects at work in the past.
Hi your welcome:)
Many thanks for show worth knowing and well explained.
I'M KING OF THE WOOOOOORLD! Thanks, mate- the hardest part was spinning knobs to get in the wifi info. What a beesh! Lol
Lol yes you can plug in a keyboard .
thanks for that, it is very easy to do it, now I have the radio open band, well done..73
Hi Many thanks I tried to keep it short and simple
Great vid - thanks for posting!
Cheers
great feature thanks mate de m1dls,
now lets see if this incoming vhf/uhf mod will work as well 👍👍
Fun times
Your way is easier for me. I can only do QRP so I'm looking at this for my first HF rig. 🍺👍
OK thanks

And the x6200? Thanks

WinSCP might be easier. My SSH/WiFi isn't happy enough for me to do it that way ;-)
No put the x6100 next to your router- sorted works great
Have you tried using this method to overwrite the UI file from Github and get the white text instead of red on the volume display?
Hi I need to know where to find that file and can it be changed as I have been told its a hex file also I prefer the red - lol

Keep.radio near wifi
I see on the upper left hand corner of your screen the volume and TX Power box letters are white instead of red. How did you change that?
Oh I haven't changed that I will do it and post a video
@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones Thank you. I can't see the red on blue. I would love to change the red to white.
Won't find my radio are there any settings on radio to make it connect thanks
Watch the video slowly step by step .
I follow the tutorial, but it can't connect, it gives me an error and the section has expired, what is the problem? does anyone know? Thank you
Put the radio next to the router also the ip address needs to be similar to other devices in your home
I'm the same keeps saying can't connect timed out
@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones can I just leave ip that's on radio
Lol, you need to fix Steve's link. :)
Ok
Much better way to do this than jacking with ssh bullshit.
Thanks
where do i find the ip and gateway addresses ?
use angry ip google it
