- If you're looking for the best mattress in a box, three of the biggest name brands you will come across are Koala vs Ecosa vs Emma. But which one is the best mattress Australia has to offer? Which one is the best mattress for side sleepers? The best mattress for lower back pain? The best mattress for kids?

If you were to buy a box mattress today. Which one would you choose? Noting I’m a medium firm side/back sleeper.
Sleep Republic?
Koala?
Emma?
@@bmxtotheend In the previous generation, I would have said the Koala Soul Mate, but the latest Koala I reviewed was much softer so may not be firm enough for you. Of the other two, the Emma is defnitely the firmer. Sleep Republic is great, but has a softer feel to it that is medium or even lower. Origin (which I am reviewing at the momemnt) is a bit firmer, but not quite as comfortable imo as the Koala Soul Mate and Emma.
I need your opinion. My partner and I are sharing our bed with our almost 1yo baby. I am hoping to find one that is firm enough for support and good for partner (parents)disturbance. Would emma be the winner ?
@@xbelugax To be honest, minimial partner disturbance is pretty much standard across the mattresses nowadays. They're all pretty good at it and designed with it in mind.
If you're looking for a firm feel, the Emma ZG is definitely on the firmer side for sure. It's not crazy firm (like Sleep Firm) but veru supportive. Then you could look perhaps at the Koala or Origin if you want something that's decently firm, but still has a soft feel to it.
Sleep Republic, Ecosa and Ergoflex tend to feel more soft than firm, imo. Still good, but in terms of feel.

This is also only 6 moths old but the Koala mattresses looks discontinued? or the names have changed as these names dont seem to exist on the website.
Yes, they do change the naming each year it seems. Marketting ploy or genuine evolution, I'm not sure.
What about sleeping duck? I thought they were the biggest seller in AU?
Definitely one of the biggest, but I haven't personally used one, so didn't want to include it in this comparison.

Thank you!. If you like a firmer mattress, the Emma Zero Gravity is good, but I probably prefer the Origin Lumbarcloud. I just put up a review of it, and I've been on it now for months and I'm still really liking it. Ecosa is a softer option.
If you had choose one, which one would you ? Ecosa Pure or Emma Zero Gravity ?
If money was no obstacle, probably Emma Zero Gravity.
