Actually deer are scary at night in the dark. I’ve lived in the sticks my whole life and hearing a deer snort when you least expecting it makes me jump every time.

Every summer for years now I make it a point to play Metal Gear Solid 3 around a campfire. This past summer I played it outside until the sun came up next morning. It was surreal between the games nature sounds and the real life sounds all around me. Birds were chirping all around me and in the game. It was like a natural surround sound.
i used to work late hours at a spot that was basically just a garage with a small office in it. definitely had a lot of unsettling gaming experiences there playing at midnight, nobody around with just the sounds of the wind moving around the doors and the crickets.
I did this in 1999 with the first Silent Hill game with a gas generator, my PS1 , and a 13" CRT. I ran a long extension cord from the generator to get the TV far enough away I could hear the game, but it was still loud enough in the distance to be unnerving. I did it to make the game scarier, and it was! Never looked over my shoulder more in my life!
@trapperkreeper6105, like that game wasn't insane enough, lol. I remember when I played Resident Evil the first time & did it in the dark sitting close to the TV with my dog napping next to me. I let out a scream when that Hunter appeared around the corner of the hall with that "scream" and my poor dog jumped, his heart racing. I had to comfort him a few mins. Poor thing.

Good job, dude. From a former Boy Scout. When setting up a spot to build your tent, always ensure there are no large rocks or pitted areas under your tent-floor, as you learned. Ideally, you want a flat and possibly soft ground. Bring an entrenching tool or collapsible hand spade to remove any rocks from flat land to make it less rough to lay on. You could even scoop up soft dirt from other places to fill any voids left by large rocks after you remove them. Also, your clear tent is NOT ideal for summer conditions. Great for cool weather camping because it will absorb sunlight better during the day to keep you warm. You could bring a tarp to hang over your tent to prevent the sun from cooking you and your steam deck from the inside!
Dude, you deserve every one of your (as of now) 1.1M views. It was indeed good fun watching you subject yourself to a creepy forest and play the games in the spooky darkness. Maybe you could do another camping video with friends/family and devote the nighttime to multiplayer creepy games or something. I love how you did this.
I do this regularly. My setup is a 10 inch gaming laptop (Ryzen 7, 32 GB RAM, high specs, runs on USB) that fits in my chest bag and a 250w battery the size of a small coke bottle. I have a second 16" foldable monitor in the backpack, it is 1 cm thin. I have the allpower 140w foldable solar panels that also slide in the backpack. Just a small backpack and chest bag...extremely portable. Running off USB-C and not mains needing an inverter is the key
I played resident evil VR on the quest in the mountains near Santa Fe New Mexico. Just the feel and sound of the walking on ground that matches the game was surreal
Dude I love this. My friends and I have talked about doing a setup like this in the woods and play horror games so it's cool to see someone actually do it.

This video is the best one I've seen awhile. I am so relaxed now, it was almost soothing to just watch it. I almost felt that summer evening and fresh, cold morning. I'd like to see more videos like that and watch all of them.

Not unique but bold to go ahead and do it. It's all the moisture that will kill the electronics prematurely.
Re4 on oculus is so fun I'm gonna go play it right now cause of this comment lol
Dude I love this. My friends and I have talked about doing a setup like this in the woods and play horror games so it's cool to see someone actually do it.
Dude, I just hope you have an awesome life and keep pursuing these odd endeavors. This honestly makes me want so something odd like this, and I thank you for giving me a nudge by just doing it yourself. Be safe, brother.
Odd
i found "towne club" soda so funny due to "country club" soda being a very well known Dominican beverage, crazy how two places that have probably never heard of each other can be so similar
This was a nice little journey, shocked all the equipment held up so well. truly a must have when camping from now on.
This dude is so wholesome and I love he didn’t just take a bunch of junk food to the tent.
Subscribed 👌
lol. Got something against junk food? are you even a real human being? No offense, but your comment REALLY makes you sound like a robot.
weird
I agree!!! 😂😊😊😊
Homie's energy is INFECTIOUS, such a fun idea, so glad I found this.
That was lowkey lit. You took it to another level riding it out in the woods overnight, brave sh*t.
Unreal video. The production quality coming out of this 120k sub channel is unreal. Incredibly unique and interesting idea for a video. Earned my sub; excited to see what you do next
only thing I could say is that it would have been nice to see some more b-roll from other angles and of your surrounding area throughout the video
Great video! Definitely not disappointing. If you do it again, having a shade canopy would help with the heat. Also, I'd definitely use a tent that has mesh ventilation.
"Imagine all the gear and techy equipment one would need to lug all the way out here to game....
So this is my setup"
Absolutely legendary
This is making me want to gather a few friends with some folding tables, a huge 10'x14' pavilion tent, and some Steam Decks for an all night, middle-of-the-woods LAN party. We would probably have to play "Sons of the Forest".
I really enjoy your unique builds and camping out in nature! From most of your videos I can say you're more like a wholesome gamer nerd :) Good content bro
Glad you enjoyed - Cheers!
Bro this video is so damn wholesome and relaxing, I definitely have to try something like this at some point.
„Hey son, you have been chilling in your room for the last 3 months, you should go out more often“ Son: Okay will do! Also son:
Sometimes UA-cam bless us with these channels that capture the spirit of what UA-cam was made to be. Hope you keep making cool stuff like this buddy, you’ve gained a new sub 👍👍
This video brought me several sensations. I felt a bit of fear but at the same time a strange comfort, it's as if being alone in this place is quite relaxing, but at the same time you feel afraid of what's nearby
This video is the best one I've seen awhile. I am so relaxed now, it was almost soothing to just watch it. I almost felt that summer evening and fresh, cold morning. I'd like to see more videos like that and watch all of them.
This is awesome, I've always loved being a tech nerd who also likes things such as camping, shooting, fishing....there's no reason anybody has to be boxed in to what type of nerd they are.
This looks really fun, I'll have to try it sometime. I definitely get so engrossed into games I would for sure freak myself out playing a horror game outside at night, but that's part of the fun.
This was a fantastic video to watch. Happy I've just come across your channel.
He single-handedly uplifted the reputation of all gamers around the world. RESPECT++
I didn't know RESPECT had a game+ mode but I am here for it
Not at all.
Absolutely loved this video. Enjoyed hanging out with you in the forest haha. Looked cozy!
the monsters and demons outside the tent watching the gameplay: Good game bro gg
Bro just put the sleeping bag on top of the tent as cover from the sun, I was melting just by looking at you in the tent.
I was melting inside lol yea that would have helped it didn't cross ma maid lol
10/10 it really makes you feel like you’re in the forest
Thank you Quiet Nerd. Really enjoyed it!! Fun!!
This video concept was so new and refreshing. Subbed gonna check out your vids
This was awesome to see. I think a bigger tent, cozy setup. Like one of those camping ASMRs but with gaming 😂
Loved the video! It was so fun and wholesome.
If you're ever dealing with Steamdeck overheating, turn OFF the updated fan profile from the system settings. The updated setting favors sound over temp. So turning it off lets the fan ramp up more.
That speaker sounds pretty good! Im worried about people that walk by once its dark. They'd be more scared of you than the other way around.
I need a second one just like this! I watch this one often.
This looked really fun, perfect way to make a horror game a little more spooky! Thanks for the video!
I used to watch your mtg pack openings like in 2016 I think. Crazy to see how big the channel has gotten. Congratulations
Glad you still around and watching :D Thanks! - Keep on keeping on! - Cheers!
Man you should really make more videos like this. This is really inspiring me to camp and game in the woods!
Watch scary movies in the woods and have a panic attack all night 👍
I'm sure glad that you had such lovley expirence! You've playd video games in the middle of forest, so no one have too! Good job!
this is wholesome as hell dude thank you 10/10 subbed
:D Cheers!
