Those dark pattern curtains are amazing. They really make the room feel cozy and moody. I am one of those who actually loves watching the process. Makes me stop and think more when making a space come together. The little pot of hydrangeas on top of the hutch is the perfect pop of texture and light needed up there. Love it! The artwork is absolutely gorgeous!

I have an idea for the typewriter. Maybe put a piece of old typing paper with scary words typed on it or somepin'!

I copied some raven clip art into a Word file and added some quotes from Poe's "The Raven," then printed it all out on parchment and rolled it into the typewriter carriage. We all know that typewriters don't produce raven images, but it works well for an Edgar Allen Poe desk display! Who knows, maybe that tormenting raven wrote it!
At Halloween, anything is possible!

I love the cobwebs on the mirror, too. It takes a rare talent to make it so realistic.
I started watching your channel last year when you were decorating for fall/Halloween. I was amazed with the transformation and I am this year too! I too have picture rail molding but I had no idea you can buy molding hooks.
I personally love a scholarly witch/wizard/warlock aesthetic so IMHO the typewriter is spot on. If you have spectacles and/or an ink pot and quill add those to the top of the books or just casually lying to the side. Picture railing needs to make a comeback. We added picture railing to our home, one of the best design decisions I made! TYFS🐦⬛

I really enjoy your videos - a thought on the mirror walls - I could see an oval mirror - horizontally- where you have the cinnamon brooms & to the area on the right - maybe 2 small similar round mirrors above the buffet mirror - I don’t think you were necessarily thinking more mirrors, but I love what you have & would continue with it - I love mirrors - have a lot of them & I also have a clock wall that I love - looking forward to part 2 ! Don't those book pages look like something "the witch" has put up to keep out the drafts? I was amazed because I've seen newspapers put up on the walls that way in old houses. Perfect for the Witch Cottage vibe! Y'all know that I'm copying that look!

Careful with the preserved eucalyptus; the oils can leach onto your wall paint, leaving a nasty spot.
That bare "tree" would be a great place for a murder of crows! I use an antique typewriter on an Edgar Allen Poe display, complete with ravens, and i really like your display, too. Love those curtains! Oh heck, I love it all and can't wait for part two!!
