He was weighing his scoop. Quarry loaders like that one often have scales on them. They are calibrated to weigh with the bucket all the way up. With that small of a dump truck it is important to have the right weight.

Hey Matt, the front edge of your bucket is worn away. It should extend about 3" in front of your bucket. Currently you are wearing away the sides of your bucket. You can put a reversible, replaceable cutting edge on the bottom with bolts or weld on. Makes working with the bucket a whole lot easier. Just an observation.
It’s just a cheap bucket, it’s almost new it just doesn’t have a replaceable edge I have one to add just haven’t gotten to it... it’s not worn at all tho

what was the topping something with crushed stone in it will pack down good maybe?
It is called scalps,its scalped from the primary crusher, it contains fines and up to one inch
rock, it compacts well, but not as good as manufactured roadbase which is quite expensive.
Scalps is perfect for what Matt is doing, as it already has a base.

How do you like the metal tracks on your wheeled loader? Are they hard to take off?
They are excellent! Easy to take off. Slightly harder to get back on but you get faster every time you do it... unbeatable in the mud though!

When I was in the carpet biz, we used them for stretcher extensions in large commercial rooms. Works good as long as you have someone to stand on the ladder !😅

@@enduser1982 some ashes and a bit of trash, would i have taken it to a dump yes.. did he no.. but he did spread and bury it so well it cant even be seen, thats all they do at the dump anyway is bury it nothing magical happens there... in the end i do what the customer wants done 99% of the time, the other 1% of the time i just done take the job.. if they want the pile pushed over and spread thats what you do..
whats your problem with some ashes and junk left on some strangers property that youre not even in the same state as.. its none of your business he's free to dump burn and bury as much of his personal junk there as he pleases

All of em.... lol it can legally haul 9.1 but I can fit about 10 or 10.5
@@DieselCreek dang your state must be lenient on weight i can only haul 12 tons on my tandem axle in Arkansas
Zach Shannon that truck has a 33,000gvw and weights 14800 empty sounds like you could get a tag axle and be a lot farther ahead
@@DieselCreek my gvw on door tag is 52k truck weighs 20k but the state will only allow me to gross 46k. Ive thought about a tag axle but frames not long enough only has 10 foot bed

Good video. Just look like you kept playing with his old burn stuff for like hours instead of just pushing it over there and been done with it . If the object was to bury it just bury it. I guess you were just having fun.
I did all the sub grade work there in less than an hour. I was spreading it thin and pushing the larger debris to the edge so it got covered
These extra $$$ should allow you to Aquire some rubber tracks for the old girl, like you said they damage asphalt and concrete driveways and highways, I. Know for a fact customers don't take kindly too property damage. Take care !
extra $$$!?!? where!!! lemme at it lol if you are careful and smart these dont do much more than put marks on blacktop and concrete, but eventually id like to get a real tracked skidloader. they are a complete game changer
Forgive me, I assumed and yes one should never assume. I thought you had a day job and the machinery was build up the farm, roads, clearing property etc and not a full time occupation. Thanks for the reply and setting me straight !
