Thanks for this video. I have been mulling over pairing my ATEM Mini Pro with the Yolobox Mini. I have 2 questions though - 1) Does the Yolobox Mini support recording and streaming simultaneously. If the answer is yes then ATEM to Yolobox Mini via USB with ATEM Multiview via HDMI with Yolobox Mini recording while streaming is a viable option. 2) Do you have any concerns with the ATEM Mini Pro USB UVC video out colors compared to it's HDMI out. I find the USB UVC out to be too contrasty and not matching the HDMI out video.

i watched this when you first posted it, but have just watched it again as I now have a number of livestream jobs coming up that could lead to bigger and better jobs. I have been using just a Yolobox Pro for weddings mainly, but now want to add the Atem Pro ISO for the exact reasons you just mentioned. I am also thinking of getting the Seetec Monitor so I can still have multiview of 4 sources that go into the Atem Pro ISO, record the ISO tracks to a hardrive, output the HDMI into the Yolobox for graphcis and brining in my Yolobox original as a livestream source and then outputting the whole program to a liveu solo for in the field bonded encoding. I think this should work in principle :-)

That was one of the first thing I did with my Yolo Box Pro, link it to my Atem mini Pro. But you are far ahead of me with using all features
Would you be able to make a stand for a rodecaster pro so I can mount the yolobox above it?
I’m using the Atem Mini Extreme ISO in conjunction with a Yolobox Pro and it’s a powerfull combo compensating each other weaknesses with their respective strength’s.
I’m thinking about doing this my new job may require me to save all videos separate instead of only the program. I want to do this but afraid to lose all the new pip features on ybp pro and video cropping
Now that the new Yolobox update allows video input from the USB and HDMI simultaneously I’m thinking about getting this combo to get an isolated streaming/recording setup. Can use my laptop as a video source while ATEM is handling camera switching.

I don't have a tutorial video yet, just the livestream with PhotoJoseph that demonstrates it. There's part of that video that does go through how to set it up though!

Do you mean the YoloBox Mini? Right now it doesn't have any of the multi-video layouts because it only supports one video input.

i went with yolobox mini and the atoms xcast as i have ninja V run on vmount power all on cage with a7siii and have other camera on wireless hdmi the same way no need for a atem case in studio i do use the atem iso for recording might get yolo pro later

Yep it should work fine! I still don't have a Rødecaster but I might get one soon!
Is there a quality difference between usb out and hdmi out (Atem)?
I would call it mostly a color difference than a quality difference, but yes the USB out of the ATEM looks a lot more contrasty compared to the HDMI out. I personally don't mind it most of the time though.
I am on the ledge about getting the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO.. and this atand looks good.... however I would put another bar across the entire back with two different thread sizes AND several cold shoes for attaching more wireless video and audio recievers. A cheese plan in the bottom and different size threads for tripod mounts also.... orrr cheese plates on the sides and across the back... and keep the bar across the top.

There are extra cold shoe mounts for the stand you can attach to the bar! Also the cheese plates can be attached wherever you want on the bar to give you more threaded screw options!

Hi Aaron, I'm using Atem mini pro iso and Yolobox pro. Using HDMI out for the MV and USB out to yolobox. Was wondering if there is any usb spliter which can use to record and USB out at the same time. So far couldn't find any in the market. Do you have any idea or solution for it? Thanks
Sorry no, there's no way a splitter will work like that

Hello, I tried connecting my Atem Mini Pro using the USB output to my YoloBox USB port it didn’t work. Any recommendations?
Which yolobox? I only tested with the Mini and the Pro, I didn't check with the original. Also make sure you're using the right USB cable because the charging cables won't pass the data through. I used a USB-A to USB-C cable for both.

oh you know what, I didn't even test it on that. I wouldn't be surprised if it's not supported on the original though, it seems much more limited because of the older CPU it uses.

That YB to YB concept at the very end didnt make sense. Remote stream? Can you expand on that?

If you use ATEM Mini PRO with the YoloBox Mini, do you get the multiview from the ATEM over to the YoloBox Mini ?!
If you wanted to! If you run the HDMI between the two then whatever the ATEM is set to output over HDMI appears in the yolobox. You can choose whether you want to output the program or the multiview. I suppose one reason might be if you wanted to have someone remote watching the multiview for a production, and streaming the main program from the yolobox!

I wouldn’t use anything like this in a professional manner. I would strongly suggest investing in a good computer and higher end Atems
Definitely is some personal preference there but honestly I wouldn't trust a computer for any critical part of the workflow in a professional setting! Even if you get the best hardware, you're still at the mercy of a random bug crashing the software, or the computer locking up for some unrelated reason, and taking down the whole stream.
