This is one of the better Saluki information videos on YT. It is important to remember that all dogs are individual, just like all people. We’re not all Mo Farrah when it comes to running nor are we all members of Mensa. In my case no two Saluki are the same. Mine have had very different temperaments but they are bright - no matter what others may think. Saluki, will dos what they want and what you desire if that fits their agenda- like dealing with a cat.
enjoué your talk about Salukis. it corresponds well to what I've experienced with mine. A Bro&Sister couple, gone since last year, and the year before. I am very much attached to this Race, love their joyful, discreet and loving way as well as their Way of aloofness.
You know what? It's the best photo of all, because it shows exactly what loves saluki. Curious and... free in the nature. And because this photo it's the one which remains me my beloved one. (same color, fawn, but mine had black fringes). 🙄 Where are you living? (you and Shah?)
Can you identify what you consider crap. Having sighthounds and Saluki for over 30yrs there was nothing I consider crap in the video. Some parts, over romanticised, maybe
The AKC has plenty of information on its website. Persian Greyhound was the name used in the US during the 19thC and early 20thC. The name originated in 1833 from George Coleman De Kay naval officer and brother of naturalist James Ellsworth De Kay who was the second in the US to breed Salukis.

Based on what document, information do you nickname Saluki as a "Persian Hound"? The work you are trying to do is bullshit.

In the UK the Saluki is sometimes called a Persian Greyhound.
Why do you say this is BS?
