Fair enough, but keep in mind that there are a devoted and determined minority of Americans that hunt their salukis on jackrabbits (45 mph) competitively, and love them and seek to maintain them just as the early British breeders brought them from the desert a century ago.

I’m not sure of the Saluki’s strength, but the speed and especially the distance that they can run are significant factors to show their abilities as hunters~💯❣️

My Lab is much, much stronger than my Saluki. Really no contest. But the Saluki is fierce, and doesn't take lightly to other dogs trying to dominate him.

I knew a Saluki/Border Collie that was a woodchuck machine. Wood chucks would look and think "Oh. here comes a d....". A favorite dog at the Farm.
Salukis are the best. I'm a proud Saluki mum.
These dogs are not only fast but they have endurance also.Kind of remind me of a world class 10k man.

Such a beautiful dog. What makes them unique compared to the greyhound is they can do this for miles and miles in breath taking temps. The greyhound is short bursts the luski is the David goggens of dogs.

Similar breed of dog exists in Mongolia. It's called taiga. They are mostly from the steppes of Mongolia, and they're like super fast too. It was interesting to see these kind of dog exists in other parts of world as well.

I remember me driving my car with family at 03:00 am in a mountain road when group of stray dogs start chasing the car, I was doing 60 km and and they chasing me without breaking a sweat... later on I swear I was doing 80 km and they still chasing the car, two of them in my side and the 3rd in other side of the car, we turn down the radio and you can hear their gasps through the windows and their feet bounding the ground so fast until they finally give up in the longest 3 minutes I ever had... their is something wrong with stray dogs in Middle East in mountains and desert regions.. they're fast, quiet almost, they hunting in groups, they are active and act weird at night.
They are natural dogs and nocturnal as most wild life is.
We too have them in Tamilnadu, we call them as Chippiparai, Rajapalayam dog. We use them for hunting rabbits and other small animals.

Over the span of 3 kilometers, cheetahs tire out quickly and if it’s more than 3 kilometers it’s most likely the husky dog because husky dogs can out run every animal in the right conditions

There is a country hound named Rajapalayam dog which can survive in any climate. The name of the dog is derived from a place called Rajapalayam which is located in southern part of tamil nadu and it is in India. We too have this breed mainly for hunting and true to owner

Actually it looks a lot similar to Indian hound. Grey Hound, Kanni and Chippi Parai. Charcterstic, Charisma, speed and hunting are common.

Most of people in arabian peninsula live in ancient cities and its villages, they are not nomads. The nomads are minority and there hisstory is hundred of years, not thousand of years.
