Bought a VCR model recently for $40 that didn't read game discs at all. Cleaning the laser fixed it partially, but the console is intermittent with recognizing disks and I usually have to reboot the console after a few discs.
I recently bought a Blu-Ray Disc Drive (DG-6M1S B150 Laser) for Microsoft Xbox One would this replace a disk drive model DG-6M1S-03B that doesn't read disk?
My driver wont read disks anymore, just can swap the laser and everything works? I hear when replace the driver i need to swap the board, but not for the laser?

Does the red laser fail more often. My Xbox wont read 360 games only.

Maybe it probaly will most of the time they're the same they just have different numbers and letters so you should be good

If you do this and you have helping hands use that to put the new laser in so you don’t have to hold it up the whole time
