  • Jordan and Tijmen do a home detail on the Model 3, cleaning it inside and out and examining the condition thoroughly after 100,000 miles of use! They even try the unscented Dawn dish soap on the white seats with great success.

      😏😁😂🤣 initial dog acclimation would’ve prevented the dashboard and back door scuffs but all in all it’s quite remarkable as those dogs are just road warriors. They’ve seen more states than I have. 💯

    We love our 2020 MY, based on my driving it would take me 12 years to reach 100K miles. So my Y looks and feels brand new. They do wear very nicely, I had my doubts on the vegan leather but actually enjoy owning a car with it and we have a Husky.

    We need to see Tesla aging in years vs miles. How does it hold up parking outside in sun for example in 5 years. Etc etc. mileage is ok but that can be hwy miles on clean road with no debris. It’s all relative but good review overall. In summary everything will age when time is applied. !

    Would love to see how the paint looks under the front bumper PPF. Everyone touts PPF as the answer to preserve the soft Tesla paint, but you never get to see a real world example of what the paint looks like underneath after the film has taken a beating.

    Car looks great for 100k miles and the abuse it has endured. How did you clean the non vegan leather parts of the seats like in the rear seatbelt wells and where the front seats meet the console? I was shocked and disappointed that the entire seat wasn’t full vegan leather.

There is one oil filter per drive unit. In all seriousness, have you ever performed serious maintenance on any vehicle?

      How bout you go get it done and come back to tell us 😂😂😂

    • @BitJam
      @BitJam 2 роки тому +1

      Years ago Tesla recommended getting the oil changed every 50K miles (or something like that). But they've updated this advice and no longer recommend you change the oil unless a sensor indicates it needs to be changed. In the owner's manual they explicitly say the coolant should last the lifetime of the car.
      Tesla originally erred on the side of caution and recommended oil changes but as they got more experience with high mileage cars in their fleet they discovered oil changes were not needed.
      The reason for such a long life of these fluid is primarily lower operating temperature compared to internal combustion engines. In addition, there is blow-by in IC engines that causes the oil to get contaminated.
      I can believe the wear and tear on these fluids is much less in an EV than in an ICE vehicle. The limiting may well be the shelf life.

    • @davidgrisco1939
      @davidgrisco1939 2 роки тому

      @@BitJam Well, every vehicle manufacturer that I'm aware of recommends gear box oil changes typically at 50k miles. I'm speaking of rear differentials, transfer cases, front differentials, etc. It has nothing to do with ICE engine or not. Next, someone is going to tell me that suspension joints and CV joints in EVs don't require grease? LOL

    I'm a detailer and this isn't anything special lol. The materials on the interiors of all Tesla's Ives noticed are absolute trash. They clean up good tho cuz there's not much to clean lol there alot of flat surfaces. If u wear alot of colored jeans the seats will get dye on them really quickly and the Alcantara inserts on the interior of the doors where's out very quickly. Not impressed with Tesla interiors as a detailer from a quality perspective but they are easy to clean quickly

  • @bernlin2000

    This is painful lol. People saying it looks great after 100K are insane XD there's multiple, large spider-web cracks in different areas of the glass on the car! I suppose that's normal if you're driving behind a truck carrying gravel as cargo, but that's definitely not a stellar result in most scenarios.

    • @dmiller9786
