One thing I should have mentioned, I started logging on TeslaFi before I even pulled it out of the delivery center. You can’t setup an account and get past data. Thanks for watching!
hello kyle! i love your channel. can you please make a video on the spare tire? how you store it in the trunk and how much space is left, etc and tools you bring with you? got a m3 standard on order and am planning to buy a spare tire…thx!
Kyle love seeing the data. I was surprised TeslaFi didn’t seem to point out other analytics I show in a tracking spreadsheet I made for my Taycan. That is avg kW for different charging types. I saw you had 9 days 15hr of supercharging and dividing that into your total kWh shows 88.5kW average speed. Quite respectable. I have driven the Taycan 27,300mi and currently having a 95.0kW average charging rate at Electrify America with 6.7MWh added DCFC. Would be great to maybe see you sometime. All the best in the channels.
Really cool thing to do is to use the Road Trip feature, to save/tag the drive. Then when you look atht the odometer graph, your tagged roadtrips are overlayed on the graph.
Have you made any mods to the car like adding PPF or ceramic wax to the exterior? I ordered a Model 3 LR and i keep reading that PPF is a must and or with ceramic coating. I definitely will do ceramic tints to help with the heat. BTW thanks for all the videos. I have binged watched all your road trip videos over the weekend. Awesome stuff.
Hey Kyle, what was your total gas savings? And does that factor in national averages or does it require manual entry? I’m taking delivery of my Model Y in about 2 weeks and the information you and your team provides is the number one reason I’m not scared to death. Thank you!
I drive a lot for work and cover GA/AL. I get paid for miles I drive and currently drive a 4Runner. Love the car, but it's costing me a ton in gas. Thinking about getting a used Model 3 LR. Is it feasible if I average 200-250 miles a day and have a home charger? Feels like it would save me a ton of money now that the used Model 3's have dropped in price. Just want to make sure it is not a pain in the ass with having to use a decent amount of Superchargers. Thoughts...
Do you think ev cars are bad for the economy if we keep using regenerative braking and not having oil change, like would that mean we will have less mechanics in the future ?
I usually only use 20% battery pr day so I wonder how much I should charge to. Right now I just charge to 60% in the summer and if the sun is shining in the weekend or when I am working from home, I set it to charge at 3,5kW to 90% because I have solar panels and it then feels like I get free energy.
A polite request... Im asking All car reviewers and Auto Journalists to do the same. Please show and let us know detailed information about the tyre that comes with the new vehicle (Brand, type, summer/winter/all-season, speed, size and general auto industry tyre reviews grading of the tyre - meaning, good, average, bad)) Why? 2 Reasons... 1. The tyre is the most important safety feature of any car, as it is the ONLY thing that connects the vehicle with the road, regardless of how good or poor the car is itself. 2. By Auto Journalists and car UA-camrs doing this, it will hopefully start vehicles manufacturers taking note. It may even hopefully push them towards going with best ranked tyre manufacturer, or at least offering different tyres for a customer to have a choice that will be put on the vehicle, with the best available tyre, as well as a tyre that is suitable for the time of year that it is sold. For example, living in Northern Scotland, UK, every time i pick-up a new car, often in December, regardless of European car manufacturer, they 'only' put summer tyres on it for the UK market. Yet the safe and sensible customer focused safety thing to do, would be putting on All Season tyres as a minimum. So for last 10 years, every new car i have had (5), from picking the car up at a dealership, within 30 minutes I've had to drive straight to a tyre specialists (If road conditions allow and no snow or ice) and put on Winter Tyres and in recent years with tyre technology, All Season tyres. This is often an extra £1000+ cost on top of what I've just paid for the vehicle. It is crazy and frustrating car manufactures will not listen or change and car nothing to the safety of their customers, certainly in the UK market. Thank-you..
If you had to guess, how many miles do you think your Model 3’s battery is capable of? Seems like individual cell/module failure is more likely to be the killer than degradation.
Let me tell you about the data on the Internet. Then let me tell you about the data on your smartphone. Then also let me tell you about the other data gathered by other cars with on board computers, which is most of what is on the road. Lexus and Toyota gather a lot of similar data. The simple answer is to live in the woods, don’t have a flip phone, and don’t have a car if you don’t want to be tracked. 🐸☕️

I don’t own a Tesla, or any EV for that matter. But I LOVE to see the data. Which is why I love to watch your channel! I appreciate you!!

Your videos are getting better by the day ! Been watching your videos since 2 years and great Job !
Hellofriend
Thanks Kyle! Always love the massive data videos. I've done about 30k in my M3P in 1.5 years ... but no where near your roadtrips.
Been using TeslaFi since 1k miles on my MY. Love it

Another great video. Thanks

As someone who just scraped his brand new Model 3, yes- yes, I would get paint protection film😑

Good info, thx.
I love teslafi. I wonder if Tesla is able to see lifetime numbers and data like this (if it’s stored on the vehicle for the life of the vehicle)
Sets battery charge level to *exactly* what you want
Garage warms by 5° after charging
Car at higher state of charge than set
🙃
I'm addicted to Teslafi but I really wish they offered it for other brand EVs!
Interesting stuff..... Were there any other repairs that were needed ?
Can you do a review for the model 3's milege with the roofbox vs without?
I love TeslaFi! So you use the sleep modes? If so. What settings do you use? Love your Tesla videos!
Thanks for the info! I was not able to use the app. Keep the car, do not sell!
Looks like great data for Divorce Court!
Thnks
Nice haircut, Kyle!

Super interesting!
Love TeslaFi too. The gas savings calculations don't seem to work so I ignore them.
Data matches up with my moms late 2018 Tesla model 3 Dual motor. She’s at about 105k miles.

It just means that as people retire, more new tradespeople will become electricians instead engine techs.

Shoulda honked the horn while Jordan was driving to the office 😇
I'm a data nerd, so thanks for the data!
What is a drive cycle? If I go from 20% to 60% in one charging session and from 40% to 100% in another, is that one or two charge cycle?

Nice work - did you sell the 3?
Hey Kyle. I have a question. Did you drive 105k miles in 83 days?
Go Rams!
Your left rear tire is 10psi lower than the other 3 tires.
Good job sirrrr
TeslaFi has been a consideration on going back to a Tesla… I miss the nerdy data.
and abandon the ID.4? NOOOOOOO
Is there something for non teslas?
Can we get a range test at 40mph on an 80 degree day?? lol
Time for 1million miles pal. And check out the degradation till then that's one neat challenge to see.

Excuseme, 🤝🤝🤝😊
Not a bright move handing over your API keys to a 3rd party.
Can you elaborate on potential fears? I agree they can harvest all your data, including locations, etc but what else is possible?
Fun fact: Tesla has all that data on you plus a lot more on the car. Like privacy? Don't buy a Tesla.
LOL do you carry a phone?
@@GregHassler excuseme 😊😊😊
lmao you're commenting on youtube which means you have a google account. irony?

GM has had this for years with OnStar. They pioneered data harvesting.
