I’m Leaving Home to be a Digital Nomad

- My name is Erik and I am a digital nomad, traveling around the country in my Subaru Forester. These are my last few days in Florida, as I leave home to start my journey. This week I say goodbye to personal belongings, friends and family. I say goodbye to the things and people I know behind, to escape normal life and venture into the unknown. So I visit the beautiful beaches of Florida one last time, go paddle boarding and camping with friends and spend time with the ones that means the most to me.

I can't wait to do the same... 4 months and counting down till I hit the road!
oh nice!!
Sweet! Glad to see you going back at it.
thank you!
Safe travels! I've done close to 3 months in a "hotel Prius" & plan on doing 6 months eventually. I can give you some good spots in Colorado too for when you're out this way.
Please do!
Lots of mixed emotions I'm sure but having that freedom and new experiences is a rush. Thanks for opening up and sharing what is going on personally with you as you take the leap again. I'm sure it will help others and maybe even yourself to learn that you are not alone with those thoughts. It can get lonely out there but with social media now it is easy to meet other like minded people out there. I've met and formed really good friends in my traveling and nomadic tribe. It's cool to meet others that just get it. Have fun!!!
thanks!
I've met lots of other travelers. Just had a great conversation with one the other day actually in the parking lot of a Planet Fitness actually. And I look forward to going to more nomad events again.
Thanks for watching and commenting!

Hi Erik, awesome to see a video from you and hear about the upcoming travels your planning for a couple years.
Really enjoyed all the editing you did to put this together, it was great to watch.
Look forward to your next video. Stay safe and avoid that crazy weather out there!! ❤
oh thanks man!
i don’t always know the story i want to tell till the editing starts to happen, but this was a fun one to put together.
i’ll be posting more now that i’m back on the road.
thanks for watching and commenting!
Awesome brother.. can't wait to see your travels!! Be safe.. there's a lot of bad weather lately!
thanks man! i wanted to come through AR, but unfortunately it’s out of my way this time. but i’ll reach out if i’m near there!
No problems brother!! Enjoy your travels! Definitely hit me up if you get over this way!
Best of luck
thank you!
Glad to see you getting back on the road! Can I ask what you will do for work as a digital nomad?
yes! i do video editing. not just for myself, but i also do freelance and have regular clients. that’s actually something i was thinking would be a good idea to share in future videos. to share what it’s like to be a working nomad. trying to travel and see the things i want to see, while also finding reliable internet and meeting deadlines.
thanks for watching and commenting!
