I am currently reading Pavillion of Women which I find to be a magnificent novel. I lived in a suburb of Tokyo when I was a boy and I used to bathe daily with our maids so on my two visits to China I found the Chinese to be unhygienic. My father was a xenophobe so he never sent me to a NE Asian school so I did not have the life I was meant to have. Many years after we left Japan the maids continued to send letters to my mother in London. My favorite authors are Anne Marie Schwarzenbach and the Lady Murasaki Shikibu. My favorite poets are Goethe, Verlaine and Edmund Spenser.
I know I'm commenting aftwr duch a long time has gone by. I came acrood this video since I went backbinto readin East wind west wind. I really enjoy readin Ms.Buck's books about China. How about you? Jave you tried to write somerhing about your experience in Japan? It would be really interesting to read something from your perspective. I hope You read my comment!!❤
the good earth. is a simple book drama, something a little bored. It seems how the literature has improved along this years. IF today someone could make such novel I think it will be not successful( best seller) today. It realize too that my novel could be good enough, when I read mine ans sometimes i feel its bored so I think Pearl wrote something more bored than me, so it make me feels good. the book seem to be written by a child of 10 to 15 years old. literature now is more creative and with a lot techniques because there are a lot writers.
Well i read because she is a nobel prize winner, and i think what kind of people win the nobel: as the Oscar, only drama. Stephen king, i don't think so. No. I will no read more of pearl, good writer, though.
I'm curious about you and your comments. I don't understand who you are and what your age is, what the novel is that you have written, and where you're from. You seem to be kind of obsessed with "boring" reading; it really is quite curious that your writing is "boring" but you are glad Pearl Buck is at least more boring than you. Your comments look they are written by someone who is 10 or 15 years old. Enlighten me please, I'm all ears.
