I just finished "The Good Earth". Such a good book. O-lan tugged at my heart with all she went through. Such a strong woman.

She died on 6 Mar 1973, so I wonder when this interview was done.
I studied her texts for the first time in the fall of 1972. I was a black boy in Africa. I loved her work very much.
