How this didn't get a crazy amount of views is beyond me. Great piece of information 👏
Big of Mark to be so open, honest and personal on this topic.
Many Thanks!
It’s a no brainer lol most 30 plus year olds who are smart should look into trt no diet can help you as much as they trt
TRT actually gave me my life back... for years I tried to get to exercise, I eat well, sleep ... high stress life though... but I would constantly need to stop exercising because of exhaustion, pain and injuries etc... The addition of Testosterone enabled me to keep training, the renewed estrogen from the T helped with joint pain. Ultimately I felt a zest for life I had lost years prior... I started at 62, should have done that 10 years prior, would have added life to those years... If you do take advantage of Testosterone, you need to get the rest of your life in order, T alone is not a magic bullet... it is just a means to be able to sustain a high energy life...
Thanks for this transparent conversation... Cheers .
I was skeptical when I first started watching this video, but this guy really knows what he"s talking about, regarding healthy ageing.
Very Informative! Thanks!
Great open conversation
Adding a schedule into the info section is really worth it for me so I can see where the vodcast is going and what it is going to cover, otherwise I have to sit for 40 mins to see what is discussed.
Yes will continue to do that moving forward.
@@theprimalkitchen Awesome service and article!
So you don't waste a half hour of your day....yeah.
I’m interested in if he was off for 6 months and didn’t notice a difference, why go back on?
Nice sharing 👍💯
MY GUY’S ON GEAR! LFG!!!
did you notice benefits from trt? can you explain
Me too!! ❤
More please
I have Biodenticle hormone pellets. Love it!! I’m a woman but men do the pellets too. Every 4 months. Not synthetic like what you do, & much healthier!!!!
Thank fuck somebody actually tells it how it is….props mate👌🏻💪🏻
I am 54 and I am not on any kind medication. I still feeling great everyday and love going to the gym. At 54 I am still seeing muscle growth. If I can't make it to the gym. I would then doing 100 pushup doing it in 2 sets and a couple 100 jumping jacks. Then I do sit-ups and plank. I weight 155bls 5" 5 inches tall with a muscular built and nice abs (6 pack) I can bench press 225bls and can do 315bls conventional deadlift without hand straps. When I was in mine 50s I benched 245bls @ 5 reps. I have been training consistently just over 10 yrs in the gym. I consume creatine, whey protein powder, fish oil and multivitamins daily in that 10 yrs to present. I sleep 8-10 hrs daily and a good diet. I don't smoke or drink. Stress in any forms will kill your testosterone. So be happy. Eat home cook foods. Eat your vitamins and your protein shake and last, a good sleep every night. Sex drive is still good 3-4 per week telling me my testosterone is still kicking. No need for trt and have no plan to try.
You're basically Flash Gordon
You’re a baby. Wait till you’re in your 60s and then we’ll see how you feel, everyone is different.
Mark and I are about the same age. I did the Test injections for about 6 years....but have now been diagnosed with Early Prostate Cancer and you cannot supplement Testosterone when you have Prostate Cancer. Then it gets complicated.
How about after you had prostate cancer, and took 44 radiation treatments ?🤔
I was wondering whether or not he did the hormone supplements through Dr. Nichols I guess this answers the question. I’ve been considering it as part of a program or plan to get my 50 year old body in better shape. There’s a lot of things that we can do via diet but unless we really have the balance with estrogen and testosterone we’re kind of canoe paddling up River without it…...
I eat well and TRT. Does the trick
What is your current protocol?
Does he ever mention how much he takes?
In another video you mentioned that your un-supplemented testosterone was well within in the normal range, but your free testosterone was low. I wonder if dietary or supplemental boron would help, since it significantly decreases SHBG. Also, it is my understanding that testosterone is positively correlated with fat and carbohydrate consumption, but negatively correlated with protein consumption. Maybe decreasing the protein and chewing more of the fat would be helpful? For me, TRT was awesome for 8 years and then, at the age of 50, turned into a nightmare, literally. Insomnia and anxiety for the first time in my life. Joint issues. I think the problem with exogenous testosterone, even bioidentical testosterone, is that you inhibit the body's natural production of all the precursor hormones--progesterone, pregnenolone, androstenedione, etc. Surely these precursor hormones have some function.
Just some random thoughts. Been following you for years. Love your approach to vitality. I want to be playing ultimate frisbee at 69!!
Are still on trt?
@@bgoodorhell4u Off for about 9 months. Checking my T level in about a month...
@@bgoodorhell4u Been off almost a year. Rechecking my T in a couple weeks.
@@davidk7739 how you feeling?
@@bgoodorhell4u Just starting to be able to sleep, workout, still looking pretty skinny, but mental health way better.
I inject 57mg every other day. I was on 86mg every other day but my doc lowered my amount. When I was injecting twice weekly by day three I was crashing hard, so I had to switch to every two days. Being on 300mg a week I felt awesome. Cutting to 200mg weekly I feel good it is an amazing antidepressant, wound and injury healer, pain reducer and of course gym recovery aid. I take Clomid 50mg and Anastrozole 1mg three times a week.
For supplements I’m taking Vitamins D3, K2, Berberine and Red Krill oil.
Before starting TRT my total test was 170, free test was around 3 and my estrogen/estradiol was in the 30’s.
So far so good 👍🏼
I heard some bad thing about AIs. What's your T now, and how long you have been taking?
@@78swats
It was 170 total T when I started with E in the 30’s
Now the total T is in the 600’s with E just over 40
If you take 300mg and need AI thats not TRT thats steroid use . You need oestrogen and you’re blocking it because you’re taking a does thats beyond therapeutic level.
Switching from Clomid to Enclomiphene should help a lot.
@@samcary777
I dropped the Clomid right after writing this. I have never taken it again. I will look up the other one you mentioned.
TY
Trt is not equivalent to the common anabolic steroids. Far from it. Its prescribed for some men, usually older males who are low on testosterone and experience signs of low T. A good doctor will only prescribe it after the person goes through laboratory tests and start out at the lowest possible dosage. The patient and doctor work together to see what is working because certain adjustments can be made like adding additional medications to ensure the testosterone is working properly.
Lifting heavy things works for me. I'm 67, eating primal paleo 2x meals. Every workout, stronger and bigger. 💪🤯
When did you start?
Are you on TRT or not?
@Dale Quale , Are you saying you can skip the TRT if you lift weights and keep healthy at 67?
Did you say when you were in your 60s???? Man I hope to look as good as you when I'm your age (which we know is older than 60s).
Is there a way to do TRT without get bulky and heavier? I'm a big guy naturally and overweight. I'm starting TRT , my test is 278.
That's your total test
What is your free test?
Good diet and exercise. Notice I said diet first.
What is your age?
@@patrickallmon7375 , 51 Sir. Man I'm so bloated on TRT. I've probably gained 15 pounds. Ugh. I'm switching to cream next week.
@@Quintanaroo2117 reduce your dose pin twice a week give it time
by the way ...do we need PCT after taking TRT?
TRT is not a cycle lol.
We eat meat but my husband eats lots of organic soy too. He's 50 stacked and has no shortage of testosterone lol.
So
Plant exclusive protein is healthier, by FAR. Not even close. No need for meat, eggs or dairy. 🤮🤮
When I go off lololololololo geez. Like a drinker
Mark looks amazing for 69 just incredible
Do u need to take anything else with trt
I am on TRT. The answer is no. But sometimes you need an antiestrogen if you develop too high estrogen. I know when my estrogen is high by my neeples.
I don’t think i wanna do that for the rest of my life. I mean… What if you can’t afford it
Forget your physician, find a functional health provider that understands hormonal and overall system balance and pay direct outside of the limitations invoked by insurance.
Have you considered bio identical pellets?
69 yrs young well u doing something right ✅,,soo I'm very interested
He can take 6 months pause of TRT and feels no difference. Why the heck is he taking TRT?
0:00 Intro
7:49 Is Mark on T? Yes 6 or 7 years so far
pfttttt
You mean it's not the healthy diet lol
Doesn’t this prove his diet is complete shit if he has to rely on TRT
I would say not at all. There are plenty of guys on trt in their 30s (me included) who are no we’re near as ripped as mark.
He is still exceptional.
Being on TRT has nothing to do with his diet, except for the fact that his healthy diet allows him to be on TRT a lot safer than many.
If you don't want to live his diet then don't.
Hope you enjoy all the supplements/drugs/ops you'll need 😁
No lol. It proves that at 65 (when he went on it) he’s no exception to the biological rule of aging. What a ridiculous comment lol. Maybe ask yourself why he waited until he was 65… maybe diet helped him up until then! He said his test wasn’t low, he just wanted to optimise it.
@@30mattdavies Shawn Baker is in his 50s fully carnivore doesn’t steroids bro
@@RKO1988 lol…. Yes he’s not in his mid 60s though. Marks t was fine, he just wanted to
Optimise it. I really don’t get what your point is
Snake oil
how? it is real
False.
@@ashleytaylor994 This man's brand and image is made out to be a result of dietary choices or the "primal" diet and lifestyle. Meanwhile, he sticks his arse with Testosterone oil, that isn't very primal is it? Such is normal among the carnivore/primal grifters and they all unironically have low T.
@@Maiden4eva1995harsh but fair
The T itself is not snake oil. It will do things to strength, etc. if taken exogenously. But it does make one wonder how much the other stuff he pumps is helping him, and what part is T injections...
