- In this video, I show you how to create this locked-on stabilization effect in Adobe After Effects (AE). This locked-on speed ramp effect is a viral effect that d2_shots uses for his car edits.

Could there be a way to smoothly get transion from slightly moving to locked on track motion? Maybe an expression like smooth but in a way that the habdheld footage smoothly goes over to tight locked on?
If at u have a black part In composition, you can add plugin on the layer "motion tile".

My footage gets reaaalllllyy shaky or better said jittery when i apply the stabilization. I filmed it on a gimbal, any tipps? maybe turn of ibis?
dont slow the footage down when tracking. Track the footage and after that slow it down, that worked for me :). So track the footage with 100% and then slow it down AFTER you tracked and stabilized it in post! (Yes i love troubleshooting)

So is after effects better than pro? Im using pro but i feel like alot of ppl are using aftereffects. What is one used for vs the other
Premiere pro is most for simple edits, just cuts and filters w transitions and Ae is for VFX and more complex effects like handmade transitions, Premiere is more simple than Ae to begin edits but if you want to really level up your edits, start learning Ae

For some reason my video is still shaky after tracking.
Actually my camera stabilization is good, but when I do this the tracking sometimes flicker and then make the video a bit shaky..
it could be because the tracking didn't work that well. you might have to re-track the footage and try using a different point of interest.

First stabilize the clip, then pre-compose it and add the speed ramp afterwards

crying in premiere pro frame by frame keyframing and changing positions manually while also using a gimble for 300 bucks to have the footage stable
