Actually, the Ultras have an artificial sun on their planet which mutated them into the 50 meter tall silver giants we know and love. It's probably solar radiation, but radiation from nukes would probably also explain the mutation as their ancestors were essentially just humans.

I like the idea of a nemesis to the Tokustars being a gigantic bug. I would probably want it to be something like a Zetton, since Waybig and his species are based on Ultraman. Maybe something with the same absorbing and rebounding power Zetton possesses.
The problem is , the fact something floats is'nt dependent on mass but it is dependent on density , the density of hydrogen is sooo light that , zeppelins made use of them to float , a thing 10 times the mass of way big would probably still float if its made of hydrogen
Blimps and zeppelins used to use hydrogen to make them float, this was useful as it’s lighter than air but it also made them highly flammable. With all of this in mind, you should name your Tokustar transformation ‘hinden-big’
@KirigiriKirin common but how many form in a cosmic storms. It could also be they work like a certain species of shark who's name I forget. Maybe tokustar tend to consume each other during their early years. Granted they are quite peaceful but I don't know.
If the tick’s species led to a lot of Tokustars dying out, I guess some like the Great One had to adapt. Maybe it grew in size since planets are easy targets. They can’t really defend themselves unless it has a smart immune system/inhabitants (a race of Cannonbolts couldn’t stop it when only one was really needed). And considering the Great One having a reputation for destroying planets, there may have been a long line of them that crumbled away since one giant tick decided to change diets.

one thing that makes this video very cool and plausible is that elemental hydrogen is in a solid state at -455 degrees, the same temperature as the vacuum of space.
3:34 and don't forget they are born in space thus aren't hindered by gravity. So less likely to collapse under their own weight, cuz there is no "down" to collapse towards
Ultraman which is what inspire Way Big are around 3k tons in weight compare to other monster of the same size being 10-20 time that in weight that and the fact they could control their own gravity might be what inspire Way Big lightness and speed
For the cosmic storms making tokustars, we could take a page from snails and assume cosmic storms cause a cluster of baby infants, and most of them tend to be runts and die shortly, maybe explaining why the universe isn’t filled with these guys?

The way it interacts with the community with the replies feels real sweet too! Imma go check out some other stuff from here now, really hope it's not an inactive channel cause it was honestly so fun!
I like to think that way big species is so uncommon because of food, a being that big needs way to much food and energy to survive, and the fact that they are born in space and just wander aimlessly until they fall on a planet, they probably just starve on while they are in space, and even if they fall on a planet it probably doesn't have enough food for him to survive a long period of time
It could be possible that, like real life ticks, the big tick is also larger than it should be due to having eaten recently. There's a chance it could be smaller when hungry and the cultists are just keeping it well-fed enough to remain that large, so theoretically said tick could have an easier time latching onto such a large hydrogen lifeform.
I thought that most Tokustars just died from the solar storms and few lived to adulthood. And I also love the idea that some large ticks feast on planets, but smaller ones swarm the Tokustars to take them down, kinda like space piranhas. Edit: spelling
A gem of a channel in the making. Loved the video and I'd like to see more like these about other aliens. Also would like to see a video about Kevin. Keep it up and you'll get big!
the reality is that waybig was just a reference to Ultraman and they they had to fill up the holes around him, like most og aliens the process was first think of the alien then everything else
The creators stated way bigs predator is a super virus, they thought it was funny to have the biggest alien have the smallest predator. They couldn’t figure out how to animate it though so it wasn’t shown
In reality, hydrogen does not have the bonding capability of elements like carbon. Hydrogen only has one bonding location where carbon has 4. Unless you mean to imply that a Tokustar is held together through ionic bonds or polar-pseudobonds, in which case a light breeze or a cup of water would dissolve them.
Gotta admit, as much as I'd love the virus one to be the predator, this tick one is something that I now love for way big's predator, the analysis you did was amazing and tying the tick to him was so well done that I think it needs to be made canon in the franchise. Also, I think I like the original way big better, just something about its arms and shoulder plates that draws me to it. Keep up the good work mate.
Let's say every storm did make a tokustar, that's 456-936 billion in ONE EARTH YEAR!! Even a 1% chance of them being born is roughly the Earth's human population worth of these giants A YEAR!! That's just our milky way alone, imagine the other galaxies
I pretty certain the "UAF Way Big" is your favorite. Just on how many times you used its photo for this video but also, the fact that you used it with the Patrick licking meme as well. I hope I'm right 😅
0:38 I didn’t know that Cosmic Storms were this common and regular, but even before you mentioned this, I assumed that they weren’t born from every single Cosmic Storm, just a once-ina-while kinda thing
1:02 Its kind of like the Anti-Matter Paradox. The laws of physics say that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, and therefore, for all the matter in the universe there must be an equal amount of anti-matter. The issue being that if matter and anti-matter existed in equal amount throughout the universe, no complex forms of matter would be able to form due to the constant opposing interactions. This means that either there isn't an equal amount of anti-matter, or space is divided into matter and anti-matter specific zones where one has gained a foothold over the other and reached a stable presence.
I went back to look at this episode and said to myself wtf was the plumber for this galaxy/planet this was a situation that couldn't be kept quite because everything was dying.
I am surprised you didn't compare Way Big species to Ultraman at all despite them being Way Big direct inspiration They are giant space police made from special material and fly from their ability to control their own gravity, they also are extremely light due to their body material being around less than 3000 tons when other Kaiju with similar size are like 50k tons
@@OlliepopVT ah I see that is fair You should check them out some day it is pretty fun Maybe you could try out Shin Ultraman the movie it is basically 3 Ultraman 1966 EPs turn into a movie with modern CGI
i like to believe that this theory is true, because i can't think of another species big enough except the dinosaur one(can't remember the name) and it is stated somewhere that accustars are stronger than them
This was a very interesting video wow, I love how you give an actual reasoning to your theories. It makes a lot of sense too My favourite way-big is UAF, I love the simple
The tick is a very cool idea, but I'm not sold on the hydrogen premise - since it makes a very poor scaffold for any biomolecules and metallic hydrogen requires extreme conditions (maybe their bodies stabilise it?). I prefer the idea that To'Kustars leave some sort of embryo in the wake of specific types of cosmic storms and it grows from there. The tick would still work, since the To'Kustar's body would be enriched in elements (likely still a lot of hydrogen) and would provide the tick with continued space-faring abilities.
I'm curious then? How does Ultimate waybig deal with these concerns? Since the ultimate forms are versions of aliens that have evolved to survive threats
I am guessing the predator tend to be too durable to kill fast enough(unless killed from the outside) the ultimate might be strong enough to atleast do things like push it off, maybe have hard enough skin to not be as easily penetrated and so on
I don't think I'm the only one to figure it out and I'm sure others before me have figured it out but basically tokustars are called that because of tokusatsu shows and way big is based off of ultraman obviously
This is an interesting theory and the comments really have added to it. I can see the ticks eating swarms of baby tokustars, provided they aren't born huge as they are. The problem however, is the fact that I can see the tokustars as a society working together to exterminate them. They are intelligent enough to do that. Then again they may have accepted the ticks are their natural predator, to keep their numbers in check. But on the other hand the cosmic storms that they are born from are said to be "unusual", so they could refer to specific kinds. Like for example, two or more stars being close enough for their storms to mix to create tokustars.
The predator would have looked like a classic design for a virus and probably would have been very small yet deadly and if made would have been one of the predators in the nemetrix
I think hydrogen is an unlikely to be hydrogen. Hydrogen is a way too simple element to sustain life in anyway. I think its more likely that they are only born from certain cosmic storms in which the cores of highly dense stars are exposed prematurely. They would still posses incredible amounts of ionized hydrogen.
Yea, this just isn't how hydrogen works. First hydrogen can only make one bond, so it can't form any complex molecules needed fur life. The reason carbon is so great is that the four bonds it makes are very stable. Hydrogen is incredibly unstable on its own. Also notice how hydrogen blimps are huge and still float. If it was lighter than air, way big would be floating off like a balloon no matter how big it was. It would also have basically no weight to it and would waking around like humans on the moon if not outright floating. Hydrogen bombs aren't a great reference for the cosmic ray ability as it's reliant on nuclear fission more than just hydrogen, hence the atom bomb used plutonium, a much heavier radioactive element to achieve fission. It's a cool theory but hydrogen and helium based life just doesn't work according to basic chemistry
@@abdulrehmanamjad4116 Silicon and tungsten have never been shown to sustain life, but they can theoretically*. Hydrogen cannot form anything complex without it being forced into it * theoretically meaning surface level researched and likely chemically unfeasible
It there a species that feed on Cosmic Storm and stuff, because by limiting the chace a Tokustar might be born, you could be considered as their "predator".
Creatures born in space don't have to deal with environmental factors when it comes to regulating their size. Not even gravity and so on. Stands to reason that they could grow as large as they wanted to as long as they had something to consume.
Toku stars are born from cosmic storms but that doesn’t mean every cosmic storm makes a toku star. Like chickens come from eggs but not every egg has a chicken.
Not everything needs to have a predator, that is why I dont like the concept of the predator aliens, because it is absolutely not always the case where an animal does have predators, hell there is many examples in the animal world today on earth in different locations.
No, I absolutely agree! I've even been saying that in other replies on this video! I just wanted to make this video to propose the idea that, if there WAS one, what would it be?
@@OlliepopVTYeah I just wanted to share my opinions on the concept, just seems unrealistic that somehow all aliens that ben10 uses has some sort of predator that the villains manage to collect. But I guess it would be less of a struggle for a hero if one alien just did not have one. But there are other ways they could have created good conflict.
To’kustars are *incredibly* rare. I highly doubt something that isn’t even guaranteed to generate in cosmic storms, which are already rare themselves, would even have a predator. It just doesn’t make sense how something can specifically evolve to hunt something that barely exists in the universe. Still a great video and theory, just a To’kustar predator doesn’t make much sense to me.
The show writers originally planned for Way Big's predator to be the tiniest creature in the universe, so I think I'm allowed a *little* leeway with this theory >×
Here's my headcanon for the biology of the To'Kustars: To'Kustars themselves have an outer shell made from an unknown comically created metal. Their inerds are mostly organic, their bodies don't pump blood but a comic gas. They can ignite the gas and shoot it as cosmic rays from the seems in their arm fins. Their hearts are highly specialized to generate the cosmic gas by taking in surrounding materials. The Cosmic Storms their made from are created themselves by To'Kustars decomposing. Over time the storm absorbs more and more cosmic rays building up the To'Kustar's shell. The organic parts come from the leftovers from the previous To'Kustar. The predator of the To'Kustars are long gone, but they were a Virus that latched onto the To'Kustar's heart and fed of of the heart itself and the rays it generated. They eventually died off due to the Rarity of The To'Kustars. (P.S: The best Way Big design is OV)
I think that to hunk Tokustar you would need to be absurdly strong because Way big was able to match planet destroying laser so you would need to be very strong to even attempt killing them. If I had to guess most Tokustar die to other sapient races or even other people from their kind.
I think that Classic Way Big is the best design and this is a really cool idea. I could definitely see a story point where Ben and either Gwen and Kevin or Rook helping out a To'Kustar that's being attacked by some ticks.
I like the video but I think I have to disagre with the idea tgat tgere will be tons of Tokustars in the universe. First of all we don't get a lot of information about how long it takes for them to be born and how strong the cosmic storm needs to be for Tokustar to be born. As far as we know only 1% of cosmic storm are big enought to even create these giants. Also I think that the tick is just to weak to even hurt Tokustar.
This is an interesting idea, but I doubt a Tick would be a Tokustar’s predator. Though, with your reasoning, I can see them being to a Tokustar what a small poisonous animal is to us. Dangerous, especially if not dealt with immediately, but you wouldn’t call it their predator.
I think the Ben 10 franchise in general misuses the term 'Predator' Most real predators aren't evolved to kill specific animals, but rather have traits that make them dangerous to lots of different animals. That's what makes them predators. Ben 10 predators are super-specialised
@@OlliepopVT that’s a fair point, though it could either be coincidental evolution (since I think a few predators weren’t even on the same planet as Ben’s aliens, but I’m not sure since I’m going off of memory here) or the planets could have forced them to adapt to the environment and thus the alien (like Heatblast’s predator).
The big tick to a tokustar is probably what a wasp is to us. Either merely a nuisance or your worst nightmare inspite of most encounters rarely being fatal (unless you have an allergy).
Just randomly throwing this idea out here but, what do you think about doing your own Ultimate Way Big to counter the Tick? This is just a rambling of mine but since Way Big is based on Ultraman and they’re called Giants of Light, maybe it could evolve into a full light-based being?
I agree with everything you said except for the biochem nonsense. A “Hydrogen-based lifeform” is fundamentally impossible, because stable hydrogen only has one valence electron and thus can only bond to only one other atom. So you wouldn’t be able form organic molecules with it. Carbon and Silicon both can bond to four other atoms, letting them act as a skeleton to organic molecules. There are so many other elements to be found in nebulas and stars, so To’kustars could be made of pretty much anything. Also why would the big ticks specifically seek out To’kustars as a source of hydrogen when it’s so abundant in the universe? It would be much more efficient just to filter it out of space dust. Also also, earth ticks don’t just suck elemental carbon out of the bodies of organisms, they suck blood to break it down and convert it into energy. Why wouldn’t the big ticks have a similarly complex process to produce energy? The way its phrased in the show its moreso implied that the ticks absorb magical energy or “life force”, but if I had to find a chemical answer I would just assume they’re siphoning nutrients out of the soil and rapidly starving out all the plants. Also also also, you can’t make energy out of just hydrogen, so an organism would need to have a diet of at least some other substance to make an equivalent to ATP. Last little semantic thing, no human has ever seen metallic hydrogen, all of its properties are theoretical. The temperature for it to exist would need to be way lower than anything found on earth or even out in space, and/or it would also need to experience extreme pressure constantly. So if Way Big was made of metallic hydrogen he would evaporate instantly if he was ever outside of the core of a planet. If I got anything wrong I welcome correction, I love biology but I am far from an expert on chemistry and would love to learn from someone who knows better Chemistry aside, I do love the idea that the predator to the To’Kustar is a tick, that concept of a comparatively tiny organism being the predator to the biggest in the universe is so fun. Sorry for the rambling btw
Mass isn't the factor for floating. That would be bouyancy and density. If To'kustars are made up of hydrogen, they won't be able to enter atmosphere. It'd be like a human trying to swim through earth

Are you implying that the big tick undergoes nuclear fusion as an energy source and thus constantly needs hydrogen? Metal.
I like the idea of a nemesis to the Tokustars being a gigantic bug. I would probably want it to be something like a Zetton, since Waybig and his species are based on Ultraman. Maybe something with the same absorbing and rebounding power Zetton possesses.
That would've been bad ass! Zetton is one of the most formidable opponent and one of the only Kaiju to beat the original Ultraman.
Its probably gonna be a direct upgrade to waybig if it's sentient enough to be scannable by the Omnitrix
Also Gomora....or at first anyway @@aaroncross6874
@@weedGato, so Ultraman X with Cyber Zetton armour.
Ahhhh, I see what you did there!
Maybe the Cosmic Storms have to be very intence for Tocustars to form.
Possibly, but seeing as the storms are so frequent, a decent number of To'Kustars are definitely still being born
@@OlliepopVT they probably come from a special cosmic storms which is why they are able to form an alien
@KirigiriKirin common but how many form in a cosmic storms. It could also be they work like a certain species of shark who's name I forget. Maybe tokustar tend to consume each other during their early years. Granted they are quite peaceful but I don't know.

I wish it was canon too lol
i saw that daddyphatsnaps reference at 0:56 youre the goat for that one
Eyyy! Always makes me happy to see another DPS fan!
You made a 9:29 video on a made up giant alien and managed to make sense the entire way through, 10/10
The tokustars are a very rare race and only have a small chance of appearing in a cosmic storms
I like UAF's simplistic design for Way Big. It just has a heroic vibe to if. And Tokustars are meant to be naturally peacefull.
I feel like a mixture of UAF and classic would be my favorite. I like the overall shape of UAF waybig, but I like the detail classic waybig has. Especially the downward pointed eyes he has on his chin
UAF Way Big is a very strong design!
very fitting consider Ultraman which is what inspire Way Big are basically a race of advanced giant Space police
@@hikarihakai1285, that and the original Ultraman being a monster disposal specialist would just make him animal control.
Id assume that the cosmic storms wouldnt always create one, and that perhaps its even a tiny percentage
That's true, but also, considering that billions of cosmic storms happen every month, there would still be a good number of them
@@OlliepopVT Maybe it's a really slim like a solar system like ours encountering a blackhole (it's a 100 in a billion or 0.000000001%) maybe specific conditions have to be met for them to exist.
I have just realized Way Bigs design is based of Ultraman and even his laser ability
I feel like the whole alien predator thing shoukd have been done in a classic series or in a flashback arc. Its better to do it when Ben has less alien's to add the tension.
Imagine a cosmic storm made a baby way big and it lands on a habitable planet question is if locals want to care for it how their feed it and take care of it unless theirs another way big that's not a infant helps with that problem on that same planet
From a chemistry perspective, this video hurt.
But I do like the theory, and it’s definitely plausible
I'll be the first to admit that chemistry is my worst science :P
I'm glad to hear that it's plausible though!
Yeah, the part where u said hydrogen is in the earths atmosphere
is wrong, I remember asking my chemistry teacher that and he told me if hydrogen was in ur atmosphere u would be dead rn because its super flammable😂
I liked the science based part of your video it shows that you are creative
Thank you very much!
one thing that makes this video very cool and plausible is that elemental hydrogen is in a solid state at -455 degrees, the same temperature as the vacuum of space.
Oh, perfect!
3:34 and don't forget they are born in space thus aren't hindered by gravity. So less likely to collapse under their own weight, cuz there is no "down" to collapse towards
Well in this case it’d be more of a parasite than a predator but it does seem plausible
regarding his weight, his lightness relative to his muscular strength could also contribute to his superspeed which we saw in ultimate alien.
Ultraman which is what inspire Way Big are around 3k tons in weight compare to other monster of the same size being 10-20 time that in weight
that and the fact they could control their own gravity might be what inspire Way Big lightness and speed
I was about to ask then I remembered the ultimate alien episode "don't litter" where he created a maelstrom to get rid of that toxic garbage monster.
Maybe the tics eat Waybig when they are small, and eat planets when big.
For the cosmic storms making tokustars, we could take a page from snails and assume cosmic storms cause a cluster of baby infants, and most of them tend to be runts and die shortly, maybe explaining why the universe isn’t filled with these guys?
Never seen a video from this channel before, but this one was so entertaining, calming and nice that made me instantly sub and even leave a comment. The way it interacts with the community with the replies feels real sweet too! Imma go check out some other stuff from here now, really hope it's not an inactive channel cause it was honestly so fun!
Hey hey hey! You'll be happy to know I'm not inactive hehe
@@OlliepopVT Yeah just checked it, immediately turned into a go to channel for when I eat. Thanks for making awesome content!
4:16, that is a weird way to say it; considering an hidrogen missing the proton is only an electron.
I love this realizations because it always was a theory at the back of my mind that made so much sense
0:56 is that friggin DPS Toji Rap?
Heck yeah!
Yoooo this actually makes a whole lot of sense. Good video man this stuff actually makes a bunch of sense if you take some science fiction liberties
0:13 Which is that predator fan made for?Jetray?
I pretty certain the "UAF Way Big" is your favorite. Just on how many times you used its photo for this video but also, the fact that you used it with the Patrick licking meme as well. I hope I'm right 😅
Wow I loved this idea just from the premise but actually backing it up with science is amazing

I didn’t know that Cosmic Storms were this common and regular, but even before you mentioned this, I assumed that they weren’t born from every single Cosmic Storm, just a once-ina-while kinda thing
Fr lol
I am surprised you didn't compare Way Big species to Ultraman at all despite them being Way Big direct inspiration
They are giant space police made from special material and fly from their ability to control their own gravity, they also are extremely light due to their body material being around less than 3000 tons when other Kaiju with similar size are like 50k tons
I didn't wanna bring Ultraman into it because, while I know the reference, I'm not familiar with Ultraman lore at all >x

I love the fact that Way Big is inspired by Ultraman ngl
@@OlliepopVT that's the reason why it's my favorite :)
This was a very interesting video wow, I love how you give an actual reasoning to your theories. It makes a lot of sense too
My favourite way-big is UAF, I love the simple
The tick is a very cool idea, but I'm not sold on the hydrogen premise - since it makes a very poor scaffold for any biomolecules and metallic hydrogen requires extreme conditions (maybe their bodies stabilise it?).
I prefer the idea that To'Kustars leave some sort of embryo in the wake of specific types of cosmic storms and it grows from there. The tick would still work, since the To'Kustar's body would be enriched in elements (likely still a lot of hydrogen) and would provide the tick with continued space-faring abilities.
That's a fascinating idea!
That's the hardest nerding out on a cartoon that I've ever seen and i love it
Glad you enjoyed!
I'm curious then? How does Ultimate waybig deal with these concerns? Since the ultimate forms are versions of aliens that have evolved to survive threats
I am guessing the predator tend to be too durable to kill fast enough(unless killed from the outside)
the ultimate might be strong enough to atleast do things like push it off, maybe have hard enough skin to not be as easily penetrated and so on
I don't think I'm the only one to figure it out and I'm sure others before me have figured it out but basically tokustars are called that because of tokusatsu shows and way big is based off of ultraman obviously
Wouldn't that be simply solved anime and cartoon bs. Because silicon cannot sustain life and tungsten definitely cannot
@@abdulrehmanamjad4116 Silicon and tungsten have never been shown to sustain life, but they can theoretically*. Hydrogen cannot form anything complex without it being forced into it
* theoretically meaning surface level researched and likely chemically unfeasible
It's also possible not every cosmic storm gives birth to a To'kustar, just like how conception of a child may not always lead to pregnancy
biggest problem with the big tick being their predator is that to'kustars could just crush them very easily.
Humans can crush ticks very easily
@@OlliepopVTfair enough

I honestly thought of the giant worm that was in the null void.
Not a bad idea!
i think your favorite is...hrm...uaf? the design is the cleanest and ultimate waybig cant count because its still just uaf waybig...at heart :)
Here's my headcanon for the biology of the To'Kustars:
To'Kustars themselves have an outer shell made from an unknown comically created metal.
If I had to guess most Tokustar die to other sapient races or even other people from their kind.
my first video by you i really enjoyed it lol it was a lot of fun i dont usually leave comments but this video was just really good. subscribed
Thank you very much for your support! Welcome to the channel!!!
I think that Classic Way Big is the best design and this is a really cool idea. I could definitely see a story point where Ben and either Gwen and Kevin or Rook helping out a To'Kustar that's being attacked by some ticks.
It was hilarious you only saying smoke screen and black whip and at the end you're like "I'm surprised, cause I would've picked smoke screem" gold 😂
Thank you for the criticism! You make good points >×
2:45 the biggest reason of that lot nowadays is the temperature.
Cool idea but imo, if Cannonbolt can beat one then no way Way Big could lose right?
I mean, something that sucks out your life force doesn't necessarily have to be stronger than you!
@@OlliepopVT that's true, but it still needs to either be able to keep up or trap you in some way. Or something like that.

This is an interesting idea, but I doubt a Tick would be a Tokustar’s predator. Though, with your reasoning, I can see them being to a Tokustar what a small poisonous animal is to us. Dangerous, especially if not dealt with immediately, but you wouldn’t call it their predator.
I think the Ben 10 franchise in general misuses the term 'Predator'
Most real predators aren't evolved to kill specific animals, but rather have traits that make them dangerous to lots of different animals.
Either merely a nuisance or your worst nightmare inspite of most encounters rarely being fatal (unless you have an allergy).

yo, cool video, love how you go into so much detail. I might come back for more.
This should not make so much sense wtf
That would be more of a parasite, which is not the same as a predator
If I got anything wrong I welcome correction, I love biology but I am far from an expert on chemistry and would love to learn from someone who knows better
Chemistry aside, I do love the idea that the predator to the To’Kustar is a tick, that concept of a comparatively tiny organism being the predator to the biggest in the universe is so fun.
Sorry for the rambling btw
There's robots with DNA in Ben 10, we can suspend our disbelief a little :D
Mass isn't the factor for floating. That would be bouyancy and density. If To'kustars are made up of hydrogen, they won't be able to enter atmosphere. It'd be like a human trying to swim through earth
Thank you for correcting me!
