I have far too many to show you all of them today, so instead I’m showcasing some of my all-time favourites. Belts are my favourite accessory to collect because they have the power to totally redefine an outfit with ease, re-proportioning your silhouette and adding an extra dimension to your ensemble. My mum used to be a great dressmaker and she always said a skirt waist band should curve to flatter.l think we are in danger of losing these traditional garment making skills.Great that you are someone who really appreciates a garments construction .
Calvin Klein's leather, wide belts alway had a curve. . .I would sometimes choose to wear them upside down.

I buy vintage dresses, Carol Anderson, they match the style of today but the fit!! I don't think manufactures know how to make a dress like those anymore. Just cookie cutter dresses with no tailoring unless you spend $100's.

I absolutely love belts. I am long waisted and adore wide belts. Even though I’m older now and have lost a lot of my small waist, belts still look good and give the illusion of having a waist. I’m 72 and just wore a long green knit dress with an olive studded belt I bought years ago. Lots of compliments. I wish they would come back in style, too. Love this.

Accessories forever!! Socks, belts, hats, gloves, scarves are the icing on the cake of any outfit.
Two things I keep searching for but can’t find: Trinny’s flesh mesh shoulder pad top; and Trinny’s YSL metallic scarf! Both transform outfits!

Yes! Many of the belts that come with jackets/ coats make them look like dressing gowns!!

I absolutely love belts, they can do so much. And you're right no one usually makes the belly go larger the way your St. Laurent to accentuate the waist more. I'm always looking for it
@ 8:00, the black outfit is gorgeous - the belt is perfect. And the way the ends on the gold obi belt was finished is so rare! Normally the ends are just so boring but your gold one truly is a special find.

I remember how much I wanted the wide Fendi belt with the oversized jewel😍. Never managed to get my hands on one in the correct size.

I agree the femine look a belts gives to the female form should be brought forward again. A belt punch is so handy
The curved belts are ideal for short waisted people, they show a more lengthened torso so we can wear a wide belt. They are quite difficult to find though...

Those Fendi belts raise my heart beat every time!!!!😍😍😍 However, if you're very short waisted and have wide and high hips too, belts sort of "disappear" on the back side between the rib cage and the hips. A wide belt will make the hips look even bigger!😅 So should you just not care that the belt is invisible from the back or should you not wear a belt then?🤔

Thank you Trinny. I’m an hour glass shape but I don’t wear belts anymore because my boobs look fuller when I use them. I’m in my 40s now and don’t feel comfortable anymore with my curvy shape. Maybe I’ll try thin belts
