No, neither of us have any kind of background in construction but we're both practically minded and pick things up pretty quick. Rob's dad is a retired builder and helped build the first SLR, along with having done most of the walling on this first loop. We've just learnt from seeing how he does it and having a go ourselves.

I reckon you used an entire dumpy bag (850 kg approx) so it probably was about 160 shovel fulls, you cannot get more than 10 shovels in a Belle mixer without it all spilling out, so my guess is that you used 8 shovels a go which gives you 20 mixes in all. Great work the way this is looking superb.
Really starting to take shape. You've used a heck of a lot of infill, it certainly won't move. I reckon that you would have been about 25 mixes to get the station completed. I'm also impressed with your bricklaying.
very nice job, really like the brickwork and looking forward to seeing how the pond develops, my very small garden railway started of as a little loop aroung my pond, it was a quick and simple lockdown project using materials i already had in the garden or in the van lol, i think youve used about 8 mixes for the station area, looking forward to the next update. Not particularly. But with it being a few days between filming bits sometimes, it's hard trying to not repeat ourselves!
