Right, I've done most of these mistakes and I don't feel some type of way about her teaching us how to correct them. I'm actually happy. lmao Now I know how to do it better.

One tip for everyone who struggles with a liquid eyeliner here:
After watching your video I decided to give a liquid eyeliner a chance again. I bought a cheap one by Essence and found out not all eyeliner types are for everyone. I can't do anything with a pen eyeliner, but working with a brush works out for me (no matter if liquid or gel). So just try different kinds, the right one is out there
That is so true. I always use gel liner with a brush for my everyday look and only use a cake eyeliner (which works with water) for more bold, creative looks.
you said not to use old eyeliners but i tend to use an dried up eyeliner to map out the shape and then i go over with a new eyeliner, this is what works best for me

I'm so glad that you mentioned the tip where you start with the eye you're least comfortable with first ! I do that with everything. eyeliner, eyeshadow, eyebrows etc. it just makes it easier :)

Just discovered your channel yesterday and I'm loving all your tips! Where have you been all my life XD I tend to go through phases of suddenly being super into make-up and looking up a bunch of tips and tutorials, and your videos are the most comprehensive I've ever come across.
please do a contouring and highlighting do's and dont! i feel as if my highlighters just a slab or a patchy streak of highlight and doesnt look flattering and all the bronzer,blusher and contour powders alll meshed together:/ eeek help

i know how to but i feel like it ends up looking muddy and the highlighter looks streaky and the blush is just mixed in idkwhyyyyyyyy urgh!! plus im so olive/yellowy skin tone so i dontknow what bronzer to use to bronze up my skin then contour etc !
Small tip, but lately I've been finding when I apply my highlight BEFORE my bronzer/contour it blends together more flawlessly and you avoid that 'streak' look. As well I would say personally, it looks best to do blush first before highlight/contour it does give a more natural finish however it's not a dramatic difference so do the blush in whichever order :)
RawrCookieMonster56 Not sure if you ever found a solution to this problem. Make sure you're setting your foundation beforehand to get a good base (unless you're not using powder highlight/blush/contour/bronzer- then don't put cream or liquid over powder). Then make sure you don't have too much product on your brush and are building up if you need more(Tap excess product off first before applying). Don't hold your brush too close to the handle and make sure you're blending the products in the correct spots but don't move the product into other areas so much that they're all one muddy patch of color (i.e, Highlight into blush). I like to apply my contour first, then my highlight so I'm setting the lowest point and then the highest on my cheekbones and then I apply my blush to make it look more like a transition rather than three separate streaks. I don't know if you've been doing these things but figured I might mention something that could help! :)

This morning I was in a rush and I ended up with a super thick eyeliner, especially in the inner corner, when I wanted to keep it as quick and simple as possible hahaha
Also, I just realized I don't have a bad eye and a good eye, I feel comfortable with both.

The main trick I do with my eyeliner is applying my eye makeup first, and cleaning up the edge where the shadow should end with a makeup wipe following the natural shape of my face, from the end of my eye to the tip of my brow. It's easy to do that with a makeup wipe because you can pull it taut and make it straight like a ruler.
Then I take a pointy liner (I use the Kiko Definition eyeliner for this part only) and draw the bottom of the wing right on the line where your eyeshadow ends and your bare skin begins. This is useful because as long as your bone structure is minimally symmetrical, the angle of the wing will be the same on both eyes. You just need to watch the length of the wing. I then draw another line about 3 mm further from the first line coming into the eye, moving from the base of my upper lid into the point of the wing.
The distance is merely personal preference, you can make the wing as thick as you like. You do you. Then I just fill it in with a matte black eyeliner (again, my personal preference) and draw my liner on the rest of the eye. I still don't do it perfectly all the time, sometimes I get itchy when I'm doing the inner part of my eyelid and the thin line I was going for gets a bit messed up, but I don't let it ruin my day.

On the regular, I rarely wear any make up, eyeliner w/a little shadow, and maybe some lip color if anything, and I don't do much of a winged look, but for some reason I went ahead and watched this. I'm glad I did. While I don't always start on the same we, I'd never thought about starting specifically with the eye I'm less comfortable with. I'll be implementing that advice in the future. 😊 On a different note, I was honestly rather bummed when you said people tend to take your advice as criticism. If your other videos are anything like this one, those people have no reason for getting salty, and they need to get the knot out of their knickers and lighten up. Lol I thought you came across very helpful and non-condescending. 🙆
