Also, just wanted to say thank you for publishing content that does not promote dieting or unhealthy/harmful eating habits and body images. I love watching your what I eat in a weeks because you seem to listen to your body and whether it means eating a salad or banana bread, you don't restrict yourself and there definitely needs to be more of that on UA-cam
I'm using this time in quarantine to focus making meals cutting out meats and dairy! It's been about 3 weeks now and I've had a lot of fun. This is helpful!
the fact that you have healthy relationship with food doesn’t make me feel bad about myself, its inspiring me to try new things! :) love your channel so much
I don't comment on videos a lot but I recently learned that you can cut up a ton of green onions and freeze them in a bag or container, and they keep for a lot longer than they would in the fridge!! Then you can have green onions whenever you need 'em :)
thank you so much for the PSA about food/eating/productivity... it really means a lot! i've been struggling with my body image and finding a balance with eating and exercise, and generally been quite critical of myself and my body whilst in isolation. i feel like everyone around me is getting into an exercise or dieting routine or obsessively trying not to gain weight. it's really nice and comforting seeing your healthy but balanced approach to food and eating, and hear a reminder not to put too much pressure on myself. sending lots of love your way, hope you're doing well!
Your personality/demeanor is always so calming to me. Thank you so much for continuing to make quality content!!! 💜 forever one of my favorite channels
I've been really into vegan feta lately my favorite: violife greek cheese and for a healthier option fermented tofu!! I buy mine from Tajfun and it's my favorite thing ever at the moment. If I don't have any I also soak cubed tofu in sauerkraut or pickle juice and lemon juice
When I was in a New Zealand a few years ago, I fell in love with hot lemon honey and ginger which is a hot drink consisting of all of those ingredients plus water obviously and it's super delicious! Really elevates the basic lemon water. It would probably work with agave syrup too although honey does add a specific taste.
i loooove to make feta at myself the recipe: 1 block tofu - high quality olive oil - a lot of dried herbs ( thyme, oregano, basil, parsley and more ) - 1 tsp salt (or more) - 1 or 2 thin sliced garlic cloves then you just have to put everything in a jar and mix together. Then fill everything up with high- quality olive oil and let it until 24 hours in the fridge and then you can take it out and it tastes sooooo goood
Violife has a vegan feta and I’ve heard amazing things about it! I was never a feta fan so haven’t tried it but their other cheeses are my favourites x
Easy Vegan Ricotta recipe that I use in my vegan lasagna! - Press 1 block of extra firm tofu to get out excess water - Crumble tofu into a bowl - Add the juice of 1/2 or 1 whole lemon (to taste) - Add Salt & Pepper as well as nutritional yeast (to taste) - I normally add chopped fresh basil to resemble ricotta but you can leave this out - Next, all you do is combine it all really well with your hand or a food processor to get a ricotta consistency This bakes really well or is delicious raw! If you simply take out the fresh basil it could be a really yummy addition to a vegan greek salad :)
love these videos! lately i’ve been getting tired of making my own food due to the same routine every day in quarantine so these recipes are so helpful ❤️
Putting lemon in your greens is actually a great idea! Vitamin C improves absorption of iron in your body, so not only does it tastes good it can help you get the most nutrients from your food!
Thank you for talking about not feeling pressured to use this time to "get productive" or achieve whatever body related goals we feel we should meet! I got glandular fever/mono back in March and it knocked me out. I'm grateful that I've gradually gained back energy (the success of being able to do washing!), but I did spend the first weeks in bed. I've had weight changes and I feel physically different. I feel like my body shape has changed, but I'm also 20 and I've realised through myself and some other inspiring women that our bodies do change! My core weakness has also upset me. I've tried to keep centring back to the mindset of what matters is to look after your health and don't beat yourself up, or pressure myself to look and feel however I think I should. It's not helpful and it's unkind. I rarely comment and It feels confronting voicing this. I hope sharing has some sort of good effect and I'd love if it helps someone feel eased of these pressures or unhealthy mindsets. This is relatively new to me and I've interestingly gone through my teens unburdened by it. So I'm learning and adjusting. Listening to and engaging with women and communities which tell us it's all right and you are great is meaningful. Thank you immensely Lindsey it means alot.
everything looks sooo yummy!! and ughhhh girl i don’t think u understand how much i literally adore you! your videos are just my favourite! and on a side note i finally started my own channel because of you girl so thank u so much for being such an inspiration
I don't know if someone's already offered a vegan feta recipe, but one I feel works really well is cutting some tofu into chunks, then make a brine of water, salt, lemon juice and dried oregano (optional) and leaving the tofu for 6-8 hours in the brine. I find it soaks up the sour, salty flavor really well and has a similar appearance and texture to feta, hope this is helpful!
This quarentine i am creating recipies i have never made before For example Broccoli tots, Mug cakes, Different kinds of cookies, Bread, Salads i'm having fun! Your aproach is really important and kind, thank you 💞 Delicious
This inspires me so much to make organic, and tasty homemade food! All these looked so delicious!! And you're literally the only UA-camr whose "what i eat in a day" videos I will actually sit and watch all the way through. Also omg the pizza!! New inspo!Thank you!💕✨🙌🏻🌱
omg the baking fairy's banana bread recipe is literally the best, it's been my go-to banana bread recipe for years now. I won't even try others at this point bc that one is always so good haha
The energy your videos radiate is so relaxing, loveeee!! The Vio Life Greek style cheese is amazing, tastes very similar to feta cheese. Being Greek myself means i'm picky with my feta but I love it to bits.
your upload came at such a wonderful time!! I know these what I eat videos are very time-consuming to film, your effort def doesn't go unnoticed. I actually snagged that cookbook when you posted your scones recipe -- I LOVE it. thank you so much for shouting it out! you definitely persuaded me to check it out, despite only being a part-time vegan. :)
Girl I heard you say you need a veggie burrito recipe...I got you!! that is seriously a staple in my week. So I like to put beans, tofu scramble, avocado, and sauteed kale inside! For the beans, i just cook them on the stove with some tomato sauce, onions and garlic, and some spices + seasonings and kind of mash them up a little. Then I put avo, tofu scramble, the beans, and kale inside (and sometimes vegan cheese and hot sauce) and then i fold it up and put it on a pan to get nice and golden. Hope you try it!!
you give me so many creative meal ideas! I've been struggling to eat less meat and dairy because they always taste like something is missing, but these inspire me to give them a try (:
I have been waiting for this video ever since you mentioned it in your live 🤩 love your what I ate in a week videos they are so inspiring and will definitely be trying out the soup since its such cold weather over here in New Zealand x
This is just something that I’ve noticed but I like how your thumbnails in these videos aren’t pictures in a bathing suit or something. Not that youtubers shouldn’t be proud of their bodies, but I just like that your videos are solely about food. I think that’s why I enjoy them so much, I feel like I’m taking care of myself instead of just trying to change how I look. You’re channel is truly free therapy ♥️
Definitely check out the Hot For Food feta cheese. You have to marinate it, but it tastes absolutely incredible! They also have a great Greek salad dressing x
Enjoyed watching. I have a son (who's vegan) heading to college soon (he'll be a senior this year) so this is helpful! Have you tried TJ's Umami on or Avocado toast? It's our fave. Love everything but the bagel too :)
when she said pura vida i was so confused because i had no idea there was also a restaurant called pura vida! i always think of the jewlery company as i have a lot of their jewlery!

The best cheese ever! Even my picky non-vegan parents love it.

Violife makes a great feta. I was skeptical, but it tastes really nice. It's more creamy than crumbly but the flavor is great.
your "what I eat" videos are seriously the best. They're so personal and I LOVE the way you film them!!!
these vids are life savers 🙌🏻🙌🏻 I‘ve been in a cooking slump and this is just what I needed ! ❤️❤️

I think it doesn't really taste like feta but it's really good
These are the best vids on UA-cam and you are the QUEEN of them.
AGREEEEED

I always use the violife greek white block as a feta cheese sub in my salads. SOOOO yummy, it's very mellow and fatty and so so satisfying.
