Thank you for the video. I do not currently have a cnc, but am getting ready to make the dive. My reasoning is I want to design a clock for my ATA instructor as an appreciation gift. Your video really let me see and understand the process. I truly appreciate the time you took doing this. Oh, and where did you get the blue nylon abrasive wheel brushes? And what size syringes do you use and where did you get those?
Curious....I noticed you didn’t use a seal coat against color bleed before you used the resin. Color bleed is not a problem? How d9 yo7 keep it from bleeding? Thanks.
Great video. I really want to try this on my cnc. Thanks for the tips. Can I ask where you guys got the wet sanding discs for the drill you used? Thanks and Happy New Year!
Used a few different things to find one we liked. The first one was a poly and then the second one we used Osmo Poly oil. The Osmo is much more expensive but leaves an amazing finish. If the top is solid resin like this one we just use this one amzn.to/3sT9GRZ but when you have wood and resin we used the extra thin, amzn.to/3mMKngL, first to penetrate down into the wood better and then finish with the normal one.
@@KLRform A voice over would be nice. Your video but would like to hear your thinking. I am making clocks now and was hoping to hear your thinking and hear more about the clock works. I enjoyed the video but to be honest I muted it. Good looking clock.
@@KLRform Watch Blacktail Studio. Just my opinion however. He is so enjoyable to watch and learn from. Just trying to be helpful not critical by no means. I feel like I understand when he finishes.
@@marchill1837 didn’t take it as critical at all. Really do appreciate the feedback. Have watched his channel and do like that style. Might try a few of those and see how they go
Looks like a very cute family business!
Great😊
Thanks
Thanks
I notice you have your old lady doing all crapy work (sanding), haha. Seriously though, nice work.
Thanks! I am lucky that she likes helping.
Hello, good job, how much does it cost? If I want that watch, how much should I pay?

Hi folks from Ireland I'm just getting into this in my retirement what would you charge for a clock like that, btw nice work
I would guess somewhere from 50-100 depending on the wood and mechanics used

It did bleed. We should have used a seal coat but didn’t.
I didn't recognize the router bit you used in the Shapeoko. 60 or 90 degree ?
60 degree.
Help where did you find that nylon brush for the drill, I only find skinny ones

Those are from a Headlight restoration kit. I found that they also work great wet sanding resin. Here is a link to one like ours. amzn.to/3EFvOS1
Also you mentioned a clear coat. What did you use for that? Simple shellac?

@@KLRform thanks for the info. Keep up the good work and I’ll look forward to more content!
I prefer to use a planer when I need to get rid of excess resin. Sanding down resin takes forever... and I'm lazy.
I would have but these where to big for our planner.
Could you use the cnc to
“Sand” away excessive resins? I love this.
Normally when I can't place the probe block on the corner, i turn it around, and can now place it where i want.. :)
Looks OK. I'd maybe go without the music throughout the whole video.
Will keep that in mind

Greetings. Cool hours are obtained. They could have thrown off the files for the CNC, I would like to try. Thanks.
What font did you use for the numbers?
What kind of wood is that?
Pine
