My Second name is Bates. Glad to see other Bates people doing well. Dad recently died, he loved anything like this. Looks great :)
I wasn't interested in the woodworking of this video, I just clicked on it to see Jay's Giant Clock......oh it so big!!!
I loved the little messages sprinkled through the video. They were done so well! Oh and the clock was cool too...
The ticking in the backgroud was brilliant.
Superb craftsmanship, one of ur biggest fan here in the Philippines 🇵🇭 👍👍👍
Glad to see you making build videos again with the classic editing and sound bits. Turned out great and although I’m not crazy about watching cnc videos, I like how you used it to do the various tasks like inlay the clock hardware. It seems like many others don’t trust their cnc for that kind of accuracy
If my clock was that big I’d show everyone too
Hey bro, nice clock
Hope that battery lasts a long time! Fun to change it.
Great project. Thanks for including the clock kit in the description. Thumbs up!
Nice style for both the clock and the video. @1:35 had me LMAO
very good editing, love the voiceless show with process steps shown in the graphics
Such a relaxing watch. Good work!
Best one yet!!!!!!
I love this. We were also established in 2011. I think something like this would make a great 10 year gift for my wife.
For some reason it feels like a while since you've made a video like this. These are the reason I keep coming back to these channels, thanks and great job!
That was fun watching! Love the sound effects.
Stunning
Very fun project to watch. Thanks for posting.
Holy Crap Batman , that is awesome I have to try making that.
Glorious! Beautiful job!
Holy crap, that stencil ink is slick! I definitely am giving that a try!
"But Grandfather! What big clock you have!"
That was cool how you spinned your project as you painted. Cool Build!
Beautiful.
That turned out pretty awesome!!!
Outstanding
Congrats friend! Time sure goes by fast. Thank you for the content you produce. This has been angreat journey, Bravo.!!!!!
Great job!
I have never understood the beer on the wall thing, I want a very cold beer!
It's always a pleasure see yours videos!!
A beautiful project!
I love it.
I love that it's so beautiful. Great work
I love the clock ticking during the glueup. I can relate to that feeling
It wasn't click bait! Bate. Bates. Excellent job. Getting a CNC requires getting a new skill set!
Nice job !!!!
Great job Jay, look's great !!!.
Now that’s big time nice
Nicely done my friend... Perfect timing...
Great work man... Love the CNC content
Very beautiful design and nice job.
In the next video, add a giant watch band on each side. Enjoyed the video Jay! Hope y'all are doing well!
oooooo. Now that's an idea to ponder :) Good to hear from you, Steve.
Made of wood, with hinged segments from contrasting wood types.
Well done once again.
Adoro sua oficina , adoro seus trabalhos, parabéns!
Oooohhh! Clock!!! Not what I read when I saw the notification for this video first thing in the morning! I think it's safe to say, we all like your big clock Jay! Your giant clock looks great!
Your editing skills and camera angles impress as always. Great video.
Really beautiful piece Jay!
Very nice, finish is 💸💸
great video thanks for sharing
Awesome…… just amazing
6:37 - I was holding my breath!!! Scary!
Real nice Jay!
Years ago my mom had a big kitchen clock with a cool design for the movement. It took a D battery which would actually wind up a spring, when it wound out, instead of just always draining to run the clock. The clock (and battery) ran far longer bc it wasn't constantly draining the battery. Sounded cool too, as it wound up. Old timey.
Cool video too 😎
Very nice Jay
Nice, Jay 💪🏻
Great stuff, Jay.
Great build. Congrats on the 10th year This year's was my 25th . It flies by enjoy every minute.
Might have to try that shellac trick. I have a ton of CNC signs to paint.
Awesome video Jay. I am planning on doing a clock just as this and thought WOW, that looks awesome.
Very cool
Well done.
I don’t have a CNC but I like the added creative dimension it brings.
Nice to have a large CNC , saves time .
Excellemt project.
Wow. That tight assembly of pie sections requires a lot of precision. I can see the need for the CNC. That would certainly be frustrating to try and do by hand. Nice work.
Nice Jay......
Nice work done 👌
Very nice looking clock Jay !! I think the contrast in it is pretty cool too
wow!!!!piękna robota!!!!pozdrawiam
Jay, Nice project!
GREAT JOB JAY .THAT IS ONE AWESOME CLOCK .THE CNC .IS COOL .THANK YOU FROM DOUG
Impressive!
Very nice, Jay~! Love the sound effects in place of a talked-thru video. Old school Jay~! Actually reminds me of "The Wordless Workshop" that used to be in the Family Handyman mag. I miss that~! Anyway, I thought I'd finally decided that buying a CNC larger with a square meter-sized bed would be sufficient...then I watched this video. Reassessing...
Jay, do you have the time?
:)
Watch it!
@@JayBates Hey, now! Don't get wound up!
@@JohnHeisz He used construction adhesive, he must have known you were watching!
FUN!
Que bonito
Gracias por los videos
Fabulous Pizza build, looks good with 12 segments, though I would normally only eat 8 !! 🤣👌😀 Love the humour comments, had to read them quick!
Great design with the Sunday effect. Neat trick of Shellac as a sealing base for black paint. I've only ever seen sanding off over spray, I recently thought of Cabinet Scraper as an option with less dust, you've just proved it an excellent option. Fabulous work
Show man
멋진시계 잘보고갑니다. 좋은하루 되세요^^
Отличная работа 👏👍
Great job from Wagga Australia.
Good video!
Love the clock but - Changing the battery is going to be an adventure.
Niiice. I like it
Thank you for your videos. Have you produced a video explaining why you chose to have an out feed table lower than your table saw table? Some make them equal height, others lower, and others at a downward angle. I would love to hear your opinions about them. Thank you
It's about time.
great project and nice video! I am surprised that tiny clock mechanism is able to move arrows that large
Qué maravilla!
Wow.
Beautiful clock Jay and excellent workmanship, as always. I also appreciate you using “IV” for 4 vs some of the clocks I see with “IIII” in stores…what is that?!?!?
Nooice!
Is there a reason for using the construction adhesive over wood glue?
Cool clock! How does the black paint not flake off over the shellac?
Jay! How do I make the Red Wings knobs on your chop saw table?!?!
Go Wings!
Love this one, Jay! Love it! A second hand would make a pretty impressive sweep around that massive face. :-)
Ya, but it might break the sound barrier😬😬
Say that looks good. How do you like that fastool sander? Been thinking about getting one with in the the nexts month or so.
Hey got a question! - having a walnut slab table built with clear epoxy in the voids. The builder wants to use Minwax satin water-based poly to keep the epoxy nice and clear. Thoughts on this finish? I have kids and need something durable as well. Thought about an epoxy flood coat, but that's a bit more pricey. Thanks!
Nice clock.
I’m surprised that little clock movement is powerful enough to move such long (and presumably heavier than normal) hands? Did you balance them to reduce the power required to move them?
Never mind, I found the high torque movement on your link.
Regarding the French cleat, did you put in a header inside the wall between the studs or just use two studs and drywall anchors in between the studs for the part of the cleat on the wall? I have mine completed and it weighs about 50-60 lbs. I think two studs will hold it but want to make completely sure. Thoughts?
Cleat attached to two studs.
Where did you get the giant clock hands at?
Where did you get the clock hands?
