  • How can you spin your board forward when you can't bend your knee that way? Let's break it down scientifically.
You can see the 3D model from here:
    whythetrick.io/frontside-pop-...
Please take a moment and try to study this in detail.
I'm trying to eliminate subjectivity from my explanation as much as possible by referring to scientific and physics theories. Please use my 3D models to solve your "why."

Traditionally, skateboarding how-to videos have always been subjective and the majority of explanations are based on speakers' experiences.
To avoid relying on my personal experiences, please fully utilize the 3D models.
    All skaters have different questions.
So that you can analyze skateboarding tricks in detail and solve your "whys," those 3D models are made fully interactive.
The 3D models feature these functions below:
    - change camera angle
    - adjust play speed
    - change transparency
    - display gridlines, etc.
Aside from that, I try to explain concepts of skateboarding tricks based on facts, calculations, scientific and physics theories. I may make mistakes so please leave a comment if you find anything.

If you pop towards the nose instead of directly in front of you (around 10/11 o clock if the nose is at 12 if you are goofy and 1/2 o clock if you are regular), you can get it to stay underneath you so you don't have to jump back at all. This is also how you can get the highest pop

Ive never been able to consistently front shove, and I'm taking about YEARS of having to make an effort to jump far behind me and maybe landing, watched this then landed 5 in a row at the park as soon as I got there thank you so much. Shifting my body weight before popping was the key for me

Oh I struggle with them so hard. I can pop them high turn them slow turn them fast but I catch them like a maniac I stump the board down with my front foot . I broke two boards on a tail like that. I think I struggle in the way of jumping a little bit backwards, that's the issue I have with kickflips also. Love your content and the scientific style 👌
