Learn how to frontside shuv-it:
This trick is simple, but requires complex movements to execute. Rear foot placement, as well as perfect timing of crouching and extending of your body are required. In this video, I attempt to explain the necessary steps. There are two different versions of this trick. Learning the first stage is recommended before progressing to the second.
1st version- 0:48
2nd version- 1:40
Obstacles- 3:38

I like that you show the same tricks at different skill levels. That's something I've never seen in any other tutorials and it really puts things into perspective and helps with progression and "polishing" a trick.
Thank you. Glad these are helping. I noticed the lack of attention paid to the evolution a skater experiences with most tricks, and decided to focus on it. I’ve skated for 22-years, and can’t think of a single trick which I execute identically (today) to when I first learned it. Teaching private lessons has forced me to identify the different ways an individual may accomplish tricks at several stages of their skateboarding journey.
@@NormanWoods excellent, makes a lot of sense, thanks for your effort!
I'd have to agree. When I started a few years ago I had no idea that there are typically three diff versions of every trick. My kickflips look so different three years later than in the first year.
100% agree 👍 the progression levels of each trick are extremely important ❤ glad you're focusing on all these levels in between 👍🤟thanks for the fab vids, one love from the UK 🇬🇧 💜💙💜
Norman you are easily top 3 of the best skaters on UA-cam. If you were a character in any of the Tony Hawk games I'd always pick you.
SoldadoDelAmor thanks buddy 👊🏿👊🏿👊🏿
Dude these are the most underrated skate tutorials on UA-cam. You’re one of the few people that actually knows how to teach tricks effectively.
Super good teacher and skater 👍👏
Man, I love how you easily explain and demonstrate the movements of every trick. Of course other tutorials from another channels are useful. But I have to say that I learned and improved a lot since I began to watch your videos. I'm gonna try this asap! Thank you!
I still want how to ollie over obstacles but I love your videos man!!
I’ll make a dedicated over obstacle video soon.
Another great tutorial! you should make a tutorial on hardflips next since you’ve already done kickflip and now frontside shuv it (which are both perquisites to hardflip)

Converse 70s are nice for skate!
This is definitely the shove it I struggle the most with. It helps leaning back into the trick a bit more than you'd expect from the motion the board does. But this tutorial is top notch. I'm still at the first type of front shove at the moment. And haven't landed it moving yet. But I have recently figured out how to keep regular pop shove its under me better. There's more of a scoop down and forward. Does this mean the front shove has like a scoop down and forward to the nose too when it comes to the second type? Or just a scoop that's with more force going toe side? Anyway, I much appreciate these videos!
Love your style Norman! and you my friend is sooooo underrated. How’s your skateboarding coaching work? I live in Richmond BC Canada
Can you do trick tutorial on pop shuv-it?
Norman can do a video about Ollie north
Really simple one to learn:
1. Do an ollie 2. During the downfall, lift your front foot from the board, and quickly return it to the bolts. 3. Land like a normal ollie.
Tip: Learn this out of a launch ramp, which will give you more hang time.
Great tutorial man, managed to land it stationary 🤘🤘 what size board do u use?
Good tutorial man could you pls make one for bs 360
Papanouri that’s a good one. I have Varial Flip, backside flip, and impossible ahead of it. But, I’ll add it t the queue.

Varial Heelflip and lazer flip trick tip(s)
Lol I still can't do this trick after 20+ years of skating. My body doesn't want to let me jump backwards... so I can't backside 50-50 either. Yet I can do several frontside grinds and several tricks that are considered way harder than front shoves. Any advice?
How to pressure flip
