Hi! We are Helen and Tim. We are adventure travelers who saved up some money to travel full-time in Jan 2023. In 1970 I climbed Mt. Blanc with three Scottish boys. We descended over snow covered glacier than is now bare and totally impassable. Astonishing.

We had minimum gear. no idea of elevatjion gain or loss. No GPS, No mountaineering skills and were lucky to make it up and down.
You got really lucky and what an adventure you had! Sure back in the 70s gear didn’t exist or was also difficult to get. Glad you all made it out ok 🤙🏽
do we need to do some registration to do hike like yours?
We didn’t need a permit for either hike ☺️ for Lac Blanc, we did have to pay to take the gondola. There are a few to choose from. Here is more info on one of them
