Thanks for the information and review! Oddly enough, I had one of these scopes a few years ago, and my stepson had an AR15 with a pitiful scope on it. Long story short, that scope went home with him. We've discussed the issues with my vision after cataract surgery, where my close vision is poor, by distance is perfect. I shoot iron sights with ease, but struggle with optics. Can't seam to find the reticle well and see the target with any clarity. Like the two images bounce back and forth. Very frustrating. But you've encouraged me to get another of these scopes and try again. And if I still cannot adapt to it, well I've got a nephew just down the road that always needs a scope! Thanks again for the information and review!
It's not the sharpest brightest scope out there by a mile. But there are very few scopes this compact with this magnification range. And certainly not anything better at this price.
My big complaint with this (I have one on my AR), is that I have to have the lense caps at an angle otherwise I don't get full adjustment range with the caps open. Ghe only other thing is that some of the colors are so bright that it kinda interferes with my vision in low light. Which makes me grateful for such a wide variety of illumination options 😂.
That would be more the capabilities of the shooter than the scope, no? I'm ok, but there's a guy in my club that can shoot a 22LR pistol at 100yrds with a 2x scope and hit the bullseye.
The last portion it said 10yrds. Was that then 10yrds or 100yrds? At 10yrds I expected that you would get a much closer and better picture. Just asking because I am thinking of a purchase.
Another great review - thanks. I have the Leupold Freedom 3-9 x 32 AO ($400 - eeek) riding on my 10/22, not a takedown. I am thinking about buying a takedown, so this review is timely.
